La Onda Leadership

I'm a bit overwhelmed and surprised at Gigi's appointment of me as La Onda Leader. So many thoughts ran through my mind as you can imagine but after discussing this and receiving support from my family as well as approval from Henry, JoJo, Ringo and LLB Management I am honored to accept the torch and to do the best I can to carry on the legacy that Gigi established.

Along with this change in La Onda leadership - we have created 2 new roles. I would like to announce that Bela (lovemusic) has been appointed La Onda Ambassador and will be working with me and the street team and Belle (magnolia belle) will be the Crossroads Fan Forum Leader. The 3 of us will report directly to Richard Zack, our Management Liaison.

This is an exciting time for the fans of Los Lonely Boys with the soon to be released EP as well as the boys having just returned from Kuwait/Iraq and the beginning of the acoustic tour with Alejandro Escovedo and Hacienda. There are also plans in the works that I think you all will like, so stay tuned.

There is no doubt that Gigi will be missed. I miss her already as I know you do - but I know she would want us to move forward and to continue to represent Henry, JoJo and Ringo in a positive light and do our best to make this "Wave" grow.

Thank you for the congratulatory messages you have left here on the forum and the phone calls of support. I am humbled by this whole situation but look forward to working with the members of La Onda, the fans and LLB Management. At this time I hope you will join me in offering support to Bela, Belle and Richard as they step into their roles as well.

The "Crossroads Fan Forum leader" sounds high falutin', but I imagine I'll do much of the same - answer 'how to' questions, help get log-in issues resolved and keep the threads organized.

I'm excited to see what's coming next for La Onda. I know there are some great things already planned! And I know each of us wants to make the Boys proud.

Hello everyone, it's been a long time since I've been here, but I just had to stop by today to wish Jeanette, Bela and Belle the best of luck in their new roles. I can't name three harder working, more dedicated fans. I'm excited to see what the future holds.

Like everyone else, I was surprised when Gigi resigned, but as she herself said, "all good things must come to an end."

So here's to new BEGINNINGS. I agree with you, Jeanette, this is an exciting time for the fans of Los Lonely Boys. I've been following their news on Facebook and rooting for them just as much as ever. They've given us a lot to be proud of in recent months.

First off, I want to congratulate Jeanette on her official role. I won’t call it “new” since in many ways she has been leading La Onda, under Gigi, for years. We certainly will miss Gigi. Her accomplishments are what make it possible for us to go forward. She trained us and inspired us to promote, promote, promote! Although I will always consider Gigi a friend, I look forward to continuing to work with Jeanette, Belle and Richard. This is certainly a solid team and we have many challenges ahead of us with all the new things that the Boys are doing. This is an exciting time for all of us and I am honored to be part of it.
