Such is the case with my work with Los Lonely Boys. After almost seven years of some of the fondest memories of my career, the time has come for me to call it a day. I have officially resigned from Los Lonely Boys today as I feel that we've gone as far as we could and the time has come to explore other avenues.

I wish Henry, Jojo, and Ringo, whom I will always consider mi familia, all the best that life has to offer to them and their families as they truly deserve nothing less. Working for the boys has been an experience I will not soon forget. I owe so much to them for the wonderful opportunities the association and relationship has afforded me over the years and i will always be thankful for the great music and their God given talents which have propelled the journey.

One of the most incredible memories I take with me is of all the unbelievable fans whom I've learned to call friends over the years and will continue to do so for many years to com I hope. But dearest to me of all is La Onda, the incredible LLB Street Team. What began out of sheer determination and an overwhelming sense that it was meant to be, quickly grew into a force to be reckoned with and one of the few accomplishments in my life that I will forever cherish and be proud of always. The sense of family, camaraderie, and genuine love and kindness that is the common thread amongst members of La Onda is something that i had never bargained for but so glad it exists as it serves as a constant reminder to me that goodness is alive and well and it lives all around us La Onda was born out of my heart and will live in my heart forever.

Thank you, Henry, Jojo, and Ringo and thank you La Onda for seven wonderful years and one hell of a ride. I love you all and will never forget you! :eek:Gigi, you have taken me by surprise. My goodness, what an unexpected thread.

First, I sincerely wish you all the best because you deserve it. I hope you really know how much you ARE going to be missed. For alot of us, you have always been here. We could always count on you for everything and anything. You have taken care of us through some rough times and of course, some great times. As hard as it is, I know things change, but this one is going to be a 'biggie'. LaOnda will ALWAYS remember you and love you with all our hearts. Your departure will be a huge loss for The Boys and LaOnda. However, reality does have to set in, so please know that I wish you all the happiness, success and peace. (Oh, don't ever forget about the tortillas!)

Please don't be a stranger on the forum...we would love to hear from you on occasion - OK?

On a personal note, be happy with whatever you venture out to; and know you helped make Los Lonely Boys be what they are today. I will miss you and love you for being here for me.

God Bless & Take Care.

Gigi,

You will be sorely missed by all of us. What you accomplished in creating La Onda and leading us for so many years is truly something to be proud of. You were far ahead of the trend; you created and nourished one of the strongest Street Teams in the business before street teaming became fashionable. La Onda would not be what it is today without your leadership. You will always be our leader and our inspiration.

It is with great sadness that I hear about your decision. I know you have many other projects that you are working on and I wish you all the best with them. You are a very talented woman. You are creative, forceful and completely dedicated to upholding your convictions. Your love and dedication for the Boys have given La Onda its soul. You have made us a family and kept us together through the good times and bad. I really wish you were not leaving us.

I do wish you all the best and hope we can stay in touch.

I am saddened to learn of this news and to know the person we have come to know as our sister will no longer be a part of the LLB familia. I can't help but get a lump in my throat thinking about where we, this forum have been through in the almost 6 years of it's existance. The one thing we knew we could count on was Gigi. Friend, you have seen us to thick and thin, through good and bad, through new phases and stages, through our own personal struggles, births, deaths and marriages.

Besides the many things you did for the LLB fans ..... you put La Onda on the map. We are known for being a strong force ... that's your legacy as Bela so eloquently stated.

I am thankful for your friendship and for long ago accepting me as a member of the street tream before it was La Onda.

I wish you well, much success in your future endeavors and girlfriend - I'll see you further on up the road and most definately onda river!

Much love and respect ....

Hey, gang. I didn't know until yesterday that all the threads in the Announcement section needed approved. :o Sorry. My learning curve went straight up.

Anyway, now that I know, I'm checking ever few hours to make sure it's current. If you don't see your post right away, you can pm me if you want to, or wait just a bit, and it will show up.

Red-faced Belle

Edited to add, this particular message board is limited to threads started by admin only because some folks were using it to announce "I'm back," etc. This is supposed to be for LLB announcements, hence the approval stuff. None of the other message boards have that feature. (I learned that yesterday too. I can be soooo slow.)

I'm in the same boat. I just learned that from Richard. Last night I approved a couple. Feel free to contact me also if your posts don't show up. This is for everything in Announvements, I believe. Apologies for being remiss.

I do hope that more people will come by and say goodbye to Gigi. She has been with us for a long time and done a tremendous amount for the Boys and the fans.

Gigi

Thank you for your hard work and dedication to the Boys, the music and La Onda.

Though you move on in terms of work, You have made friendships within this Los Lonely Boys community that WILL last a lifetime.

Thank you for being always listening to our ideas, how ever crazy they may have seemed, and Thank you for helping us reach our potential in our ultimate goal of promoting the Boys.

You have always supported us, encouraged us, even coaxed us at times. I will continued to use what I have learned from you and all of La Onda in my desire to show the world all that is involed in Texican Rock and Roll.

You will be missed but not forgotten!

Gigi,

Even though I have never personally met you (1 close call in Philly in 2006),
I know you have been one person that has been instrumental to LLB & also to La Onda.

I wish you the best in your future ventures and know that you will have success in whatever you do.

Good Luck & Best Wishes,
Laurie

Dear Gigi
I never got to know you personally but I have observed from afar that you were a key component in LLB's rapid rise to success in the past few years. It was obvious the love and respect you held from the band and the fans. Gracias for all your effort and professionalism.
I wish you and you loved ones health, happiness and love into the future.
Keep on rockin' :)

Hey there all,

It took me a while to respond to this news. . As Velvet and Bela have mentioned, Gigi IS family! and not just in the cyberworld. .

From the beginning, before the street team had a name, it was Gigi who gave us direction, support and friendship. I orginally was so amazed how accessible she was when i first signed up for the Street Team (before we had our name). I remember her sending me posters and being so thankful with phone calls about posting them and passing out the guitar picks, etc, . .I started out making buttons, getting permission, my beaded purse and getting art from Morris the Spider, Carlos San Miguel photography, and communicating with other La Onda, Jesse emailing me the silloutte, Dave STR translating for us, etc. etc. SO MUCH LLB HISTORY. . .Gigi coordinating all the while.

It's hard to imagine not having her with us in our LLB journey. I have lots of pics of her and Dylan and watching him grow up. . her bringing special surprises to us, PREVIEWS of upcoming LLB everything at each ODR gathering. . (where I first met her back in 2005) birthday cake on her arm, the red frosting smeared on her and the cops wondering what she was doing. .
LISTENING to us and taking in all our suggestions, comments, advice, COMPLAINTS. . .she handled it all and did her best to work with La Onda in so many ways. .
SUrprising us (*remember RUth, Rita, Deb, Sara, Donna, Pat, RhONDA, ) with a LAST MINUTE Meet N Greet as she implored management saying "NON of these fans are from Cheyenne,Wyoming, they are from the east coast, west coast, NM, NE, CO, all traveling LONG distances to see the boys and street team. . . it was amazing, as I remember getting the call as I was pulling into a gas station about 30 miles south of Cheyenne, then calling al the carloads coming. . RUth check, Rita check, Deb check. .making sure we all knew the details of an impromptu meet n greet. .
GIgifina worked her magic. .

Even the sensitive personal stuff: when Ronnie's father passed, she called to give her condolences and offered us 2 tickets for a special KFOG private concert, to help us feel better. . . after all we had been through with our grieving. We will never forget her thoughtfulness at our time of sorrow.

I LOVE Gigi as a friend, as a sister, and am honored that I was able to hear, talk and brainstorm about what was possible and what has come through fruition. . TOGETHER. . I know we will be familia por vida Gigi girl. . .and I pray for good things to come to you, as we continue through our lives in whatever ways our paths cross. Be safe and we'll be in touch. . Love, Tasina & Ronnie

I don't have much to add to what has already been said.
I met you once and it is/was a memorable occasion, at ODR and
Stubbs concert a couple of years ago. Took an instant liking and interest to you as you were very easy to talk too and you seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me as well as others. Even though you had a million things going on.
La Onda familia - are the best and hardest working fans I have ever known.

Will miss you, hope you keep in touch. Best of luck to you in what ever
you do.

You have no idea how much you will be missed (((hugs)))). I only wish we could have met in person vs over the phone/email.

I wish you all the best...
