my latest little project

Okay- we know I get totally bored in the winter, right????

well I was in walmart one day a few weeks ago, and i noticed this bowler-bag marked down...and i got it with an idea in my head....( I have a purse/bag fettish thing ANWAY! LOL)
Here is what i came up with!

All I did was put an iron-on transfer on the canvas bag-side 2..no biggie, anyone could do it! ( dark fabric transfer...not the kind for light fabrics!) :rolleyes: side 1 I put a light fabric iron-on on, and as you can see, it DIDN'T exactly work all that great!! LOL But I ran out of my transfer pen, so I couldn't paint on it! Oh well..it still works for me! LOL :p

At the bottom, you can see the photo mouse pad that I got for 0.25cents at Michaels craft sroe, and put a LLB promo shot in! he months of the year go all around the outer edge....they came out kind of neat. I promised in the SWAG thread to get a picture out,,,here it is. LOL

You must have LLB on your mind when shopping and probably a lot of the time. Again, your SWAG is outstanding.

I love both Rita and Margie's ideas. I'm kind of running out of creativity--have too much other stuff to do getting ready to move to think up swag too--but really admire all the creative ideas that come from La Onda! The LLB merch people REALLY should contact us when planning what they're going to sell at the merch booth--most of the time what La Onda comes up with is way better than what they have to sell (poor Ian--he can only sell what they give him.....)Ian is still going to be the merch guy, isn't he? After Glenn leaving I don't know if I could handle another personnel change--Ian is THE BEST MERCH GUY EVER!!!

You know Margie---- actually I DO see something and think "Oh, I can do somethingLLB w/ that!"...or I'll go to sleep, and DREAM of someting I saw, and dream of it made up LLB-style, then i have to go back and get it!!!
Like in Michaels crafts the other day--- I saw Sleep/eye masks....got home, ready for bed, and thought "OMG! "Crazy Dreams""!!! LOL Went back to get some to paint on, and they were OUT! :o But still a possibility!! LOL

I saw these really kool carribeaner /backpack clips yesterday int he dollar tree store!!!
My computer is acting weird, so it won't load the picture.....
BUT, the clips are in the shap of a GUITAR!!! Now, isn't that kool??? hehehe
They are kind of a gold/orange color----would have been so much better if they were RED or even BLACK or BLUE, huh???
There are 3 in a package, and they only cost $1.00...so that is 33cents each!!!

Don't know if they are orderable from the company or not, buthere is the info from the package if someone wants to look into it.........................

I shop Dollar Tree, too, but sometimes, there's a reason things end up there so cheap.....Read on. I'd check out the label, Rita, to see if they were "made in China", even though the recall number isn't one of these.

well, I called and they told me that it was mainly the kiddie jewelry that they were pulling, because it sits on the skin. They did not think the backpack clips were in danger, because they have little contact with the skin...but they DIDN'T say they weren't lead based, they just said they decided they were okay.
So.....i guess that means you think about it yourself on it's safety issues, huh??? hahahahaha

Personally, they look just like any other one you buy...so I don't know what to tell you.

Besides, by the time I get around to thinking of buying bulk of these, they'll be gone from my store....so it'll be a non-issue, won't it?? LOL

And I looked on the dollar tree web site, I couldn't seem to find them to order bulk there.....so maybe it's just as well.
