Mil Gracias (A thousand thanks) to my Crossroads/La Onda familia for remembering me.

It was a crazy week! Hurricane Dolly roared through on Wednesday and knocked out our electical power and water service for about 24 hours. We are all safe and happy that our house only lost about a dozen shingles and our fence is leaning over. Minimal damage. Some people down here are STILL without power and are dealing with flooded homes and streets.

If we are ever expecting a Category 3, 4, or 5 hurricane... I'm NOT sticking around! Dolly hit the coast as a Cat-2. By the time it came 50 miles inland to my town, it was a Cat-1. The winds were blowing from about 40 to 75 mph for 12 hours straight! Crazy!!!!

Anyway, thanks again for all the kind words. LLB have blessed my life with an awesome familia. Thanks - Henry, JoJo, and Ringo!!

Dave your poor kid! Anything under a Cat 3 in Florida ain't even worth rollin' over for! It's NOT funny, but I am dying laughing down here! Mamacita teased me 'poor kid' b/c I had a scare with a tornado last Thursday, now I can tease someone else about what I would consider a 'yawn'. I can imagine it must have been a bit freaky if you're not used to them.

Sincerely, I am glad you are all alright. :) I feel for you w/out electricity for 24 hrs. Woo wee. HOT. Some of my co-workers were w/out power for more than 3 weeks in 2004. Citizens were literally delivering food and drink to the electricians to keep them working after Hurricane Frances in 2004. I read a caption in our local paper about one - it was a pic of him & he was crying - people harrassed the poor guys so much about getting their power back...one kind soul finally saw his distress and stood outside of the power truck & let him sleep for a few hours undisturbed. He was so relieved. He had been working almost 72 hrs w/out sleep. :(

Glad you're okay!
