Ironstone Vineyards 6/13/08

Just got home from the Murphys show. It's 1 am and I need to get to bed soon so we can get up and go to Monterey in a few hours! The Ironstone venue is a large outdoor ampitheater in California's Gold Country, with chairs upfront and then lawn seating on a terrace behind. When we got there it was 100 degrees, but cooled off some by the time the show started. The boys came on stage right at 8:00 and played for an hour--which is about what I expected for a warm-up act show. They started off with War Tonight (off Forgiven, but apparently only on the Wal-Mart bonus track version) and then right into Friday Night--really rockin'! I'll post the rest of the set list on the other thread. The audience was really into them and a lot of the people I talked to afterwards while I was street-teaming said that LLB is the reason they came to the show, not Sheryl Crow. :p We left after the LLB set, but heard a few of Sheryl's songs while talking with Ian--he was working his a** off--lots of people buying LLB merchandise. Only a few of La Onda representing at this one--mostly because the tickets were so expensive--Debbie and Mano (celebrating their 20th anniversary!!!) and Bernadette. Glenn took a picture of Bernadette and I with the MonkSockeys before the show. The MonkSockeys have only been to 2 shows in CA and already they've been to a fashion event and wine tasting! These monkeys don't monkey around! :D

I'm so glad you all had a great time, and those monkeys sure know how to party in California!!! It's great to hear that LLB had many fans and they are the reasons most people attended the show. ;) Can't wait to see the pictures!

Don't think that's La Onda, but there were about 3 people in the front row who were up dancing for most of their set.

Good to hear the boys are doing tunes off the FORGIVEN CD ... AND what fabulous info that LLB fans are supporting the boys by going to these top dollar shows. Thanks Martha/Rob for keeping us up to date with who, what, when! :cool:
