Hey yall its mothers day i forgot.........sorry...happy moms day to everyone!
Been living the high life here with lots of good entertainment 24/7 but NOTHING compares to LLB and the fan club.....been spreading the word around and people are digging our vibe...sounds like fun and something they would like to do.
Saw some amazing stage shows <<<<<<<<<broadwayesque<) sorry the europa symbols are really messing with me :D
the beatles show i saw was unbelievable complete with a sgt peppers tour beatles group that sang their heart out with the military uniforms and stuff
the most unbelievable cruise ever including spotting my fav crew member the first moment i walked onboard..lots of new friends and new favorite performers. Great phillipino band on board that could do anything (except LLB) They learn all their music from the american AFB in the philp. They were amazing but a LLB song would have been so sweet
Talk to yall friday unless I have internet in madrid
lots of onda loveù

hey chiqui!!
Well i have about 40 minutes until I take my medication and hit the sack. Pray that whatever this plague I seem to have gotten from ancient folks is gone in the am so I can go to work and not have to drama it out tomorrow.
Supposed to return to work tomorrow but have had some kind of coughy phlemgy thing for about ten days. My boss will freak if I show up sick. The nasal congestion is gone and the phelgm but the dry hacking cough remains and sounds deadly.
OK here is the quicky version (right) of me and the husb's trip.
We sailed sat apr 26 on the carnival freedom out of miami. We had a balcony cabin on deck 6 with some extra perks (like a vcr and dvd player in the room).
It was one of our all time favorite cabins.
The cruise was 14 days with only a few ports: st. martin; madiera, portugal;malaga, spain; livorno, italy, and debarkation in citavecchia, italy (about 90 mins from rome by bus)
The cruise was a total dream with the best crew ever including some that I had sailed with before and loved; awesome entertainment; decent food; service that could not have been better and interesting ports. I also loved all the sea days and slept a lot. I got scrapbooking done too and made a lot of new friends doing that kind of thing.
I met a lot of people that I have been talking to on the internet but finally got to meet them in person. It was neat.
When we got off in citavecchia, we planned to spend 5 nights in europe and fly home from madrid to miami.
The time in europe was not that great unfortunately. My husband got ill first, then I did and the food was pretty horrid. We tried in vain to find some chicken soup in rome but it was not something any grocery store or restaurant served. The language barrier was a big problem even though I speak some spanish. We could not find the way around the streets - there was no rhyme or reason and names of streets were missing from maps all the time. When we got to madrid (we did 2 nights rome, then flew to madrid for 3 nights) we started eating at chinese restaurants and did okay. I really felt like crap in madrid and slept most of our last day there. We spent the better part of 24 hours winding our way back home.
We have been home since thurs. night. We are still sick ( a little) and have taken lots of stuff. I have to return to work tomorrow. I would take another european cruise anytime but my taste for touring around europe has changed.
The worst thing was the way the people in rome and madrid treated us. Because we are americans and because I am overweight we were treated with disrespect and rudeness everywhere we went. We couldnt wait to leave europe and get home. My husb said I can burn his passport cause he's never going to europe again.
As always I am the eternal optimist and it is verry hard for me to admit this. I still want to go to paris someday. I want to be back on board the ship right now - it was big fun.

Kimann,
I am sorry to hear of your mistreatment abroad. The Americans are not favored around the world right now. However with that said, I wish they would treat us as individuals and not as "those Americans". You'd think they would understand just because we're American, doesn't mean we agree with what our government does. Too bad we don't treat the Europeans the same when they visit here, huh? Oh wait, that would be because we're individuals and we respect everyone else's social freedom, whether or not they agree with our own opinions. What a concept. I'm glad your cruise was great and hope you get to feeling better! :)

Thanks for the kind words Cree :D I am definitely on the mend possibly 100% recovered tomorrow. Been working like a madwoman at work getting all the work caught up from three weeks off. I got the best tan I have ever had and never even hung out at the pool or anything. I am starting to look and feel like I actually had a three week vacation. :)
