The Russian River Blues Festival is back! Join us on Father's Day Weekend for an amazing weekend of blues music, great food and wine tasting.

During the weekend, there will be 16 performances on two stages; a mix of traditional blues, rock, R&B and soul music.

The confirmed lineup will include:

I'm glad Omega finally got with the program and contracted LLB to play at one of their many California blues festivals!! I sent them a few emails a couple years ago asking them to please get LLB to play at the Doheny Blues Festival in Southern California. Maybe after this event, they'll hire them for next year!!! There's still hope!! :D :) ;) By the way, LLB plays on the 15th!!

Rob and I saw the Fabulous Thunderbirds many years ago at the Warfield in SF--would love to see them again. The lineups for each day haven't been announced yet, so hopefully the FT's are playing on Sunday, same as the boys.

I agree with you both! FT are a fantastic band to see! I have seen most of these bands before and they all put on a great show! I plan on making this show!

By the way, more shows in the works for CA!!! WOOOOHOOOO!!!

When you go to the Russian River Blues Fest site for tickets, Heaven is the background music--how cool is that? The Fabulous Thunderbirds and Dan Hicks are playing the Saturday show--may have to consider going to both Saturday and Sunday shows...!

And, I was thinking, since 6/15 is Father's Day, maybe we can make a sign for the boys wishing them a Happy Father's Day away from their little ones. Maybe something like Laurieboop came up with for the KFOG Kaboom show in 2006 for Henry's birthday where we each held up a different color of construction paper to spell out "Happy Birthday Henry." Took us awhile to get everyone in the right order (loopy Loopies--lol) but it looked really cute once we got it right. And Henry noticed us and laughed and pointed at the signs.

Martha, that was so much fun...it seems just like yesterday when we were all in SF celebrating Henry's Birthday--holding up the signs and giving him his birthday scrap book that I was trying to finish up during the opening acts. What a blast!!!

Something like we did for Henry's bday sounds good. Does everyone have seats in the Gold Circle? We'll need someone to save us seats like at Santa Cruz since most of us will be driving up from Monterey or other places to get to the Russian River and don't know how early we can get there. Would be nice to all sit together, especially if we're spelling out Happy Father's Day!

My Russian River Blues Fest tickets arrived today, and the Sunday lineup also includes Robben Ford! Whooohooo! I would LOVE to see Henry and Robben jam together--any way we can get this to happen?

The Russian River promoter asked for people to street team for this 2 day event so I volunteered to put up flyers and posters. Just received the materials last week, and then I was out of town (again) so will be busy this week putting up the flyers/posters. The poster that Margie posted is what I was sent. Sounds like a great lineup both days--but Sat we'll be in Monterey, CA seeing the boys, :) so can't go both Sat and Sun. :( Wish we could be two places at once!

Yes, I also volunteered to help advertise this Concert. Gave out flyers/postcards at an Oldies Car show and Music Fest this past week, put up poster and cards at a local restaurant. Gave some to people who were promoting other concerts. Also put up posters at a friend's guitar shop.
At the Oldies Car show they played HEAVEN and said this if for Margie;
