Whoohoo! NorCal finally has a concert date! July 22nd at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga! A great venue!!! This date is in between the Oregon shows and the soCal shows at the Greek and Alpine, so hopefully we'll get at least another norCal date besides this one!

One of my most favorite LLB memories was at the Mountain Winery, front row a few years ago. The Boys played Pride and Joy (Stevie Ray) that night, and I hadn't heard them cover it live before. Always loved it on the Blue Cat Blues CD, but the live version was off the hook. I'd love LOVE to see them in Saratoga again...

Hi esaye! Welcome to the Fan Club! Today through the KFOG presale I got section 1, row B, seats 19 and 20. What seats did you get? Maybe we'll be sitting next to each other? I just LOVE this venue, although they did some remodeling/expansion over the winter so hope it's still as intimate as it was before. And having dinner before the show on the terrace overlooking the valley below--breathtaking!
And Janene, wish you were coming out to CA for the Mtn Winery show again! The first time LLB played the Mtn Winery was 2005 and Janene lucked out on the presale and got first row seats! It was so nice to have you and your and hubby join us at this beautiful venue.
I can't wait for July 22nd!!!

Anyone have the 'code/password' word for KFOG? Please? Thru this site, it's already row "E" - maybe I can wait till Sunday and purchase through Mountain Winery, and hopefully get closer...... :(

Carol--the password is anniversary. But, I just went on both the KFOG and LLB presale sites, and it looks like they're both coming from the same place, because I was offered the same seat using both sites. The LLB presale wasn't supposed to be available until 10 am today, but when I logged on this morning at about 6:30 the Mtn Winery presale tix was already going on. Right now I was only able to get Section 1, Row E--that might be the best you can do (and, after all, it is the 5th row!) :D :D :D

We got seats 12 and 13. I bought them for my wifes birthday. We saw Ozomatli from row 3 center there last year and really enjoyed ourselves. We are still undecided on dinner, but you are correct the views are incredible.

Well esaye, so far it looks like we're the only ones from the Fan Club who got seats in Row B. :) Looks like everyone else is being offered Row E. :(
Looking forward to meeting you in July. Are you going to any of the other Bay area shows--Monterey 6/14, Russian River 6/15?

Thank you ! But I did try again, and you're right, still section 1, 'E' but thru Mountain Winery with the password it's Section 11, way, way, back...! What to do, it's a 7-hour drive for me, wanted to get 'closer.' I know, SPOILED, but I'll see them at the Greek and in Alpine......and I'll keep trying for Saratoga..... :) :(

Yes, I know we're "SPOILED", but there's nothing like front row (or 2nd or 3rd row...!) Good luck with the Saratoga tickets.

Loved hearing "War tonight". JoJo's voice is absolutely amazing on it. Have to agree the boys were seriously getting down.

Good morning. Boy, I’m beat.
Got home at 12:30 and crashed. The Boys were awesome, as usual. They look rested and like they’re having a great time. Dancing front row with Ellen was so much fun. The Monkeys were there, chillin’. Heart Won’t Tell A Lie, Hollywood, Never Met A Woman, Crazy Dream, Heaven, Staying With Me and much more. Martha will have the set list I’m sure. They looked great. Henry in blue, JoJo in Red. During Heaven, Henry handed me the first pick from the stage. NICE! So sweet with his smiling face. It was red and black with his name on the back. Right there, front row up against the stage, Henry grinding the pick on his guitar strings - I again get to witness the bits and pieces of this poor pick fall to the stage. JoJo points it out and puts his hand under the falling debris to catch it, and throws it up in the air as if it were snow. So funny. A great show. Lots of fun. Glad to dance and share your birthday with you, Ellen!
That’s it for now. Gotta work. LA tomorrow morning with Tasina – ROAD TRIP!!!
*pictures to come after the 3fer this weekend. Sorry.

We got home about 12:30 am too. I'll post the set list on the other thread. Quite a few songs off Forgiven, opening with "Heart Won't Tell a Lie." The Mountain Winery venue has been renovated/expanded, and with that I think it lost some of it's charm. But where we were in the second row (and in actual seats now, not folding chairs) was still very close to the stage. And the stage is very low, so when they did the Garza shuffle they were practically right on top of us.
I don't remember if Live Nation ran this venue in years past, but I was not impressed by them. I was handing out swag (postcards for Forgiven) and was told by an usher(ette) that I couldn't pass them out, that Live Nation "didn't allow that type of thing." Never heard that one before. I just moved to another section and kept on going. Then, when we set the MonkSockeys on the stage before the boys came out so we could take a picture, we were instantly jumped on by security, who said we can't put anything on the stage, and that if we wanted to give anything to the boys (which we did--we had gift bags from OBTB) that we had to take them up to some other entrance (which was way up a whole bunch of stairs) and they would make sure the boys got the gifts. Just hope they received the gift bags. Then after Heaven when everyone had rushed the stage and we were waiting for the encore, the security guard came through and made everyone move back from the stage and said we couldn't put our hands on the edge of the stage. A little too controlling for me. I used to like this venue because I thought it was "civilized" but now it's like most all the other venues, where the audience is treated negatively, and rules are enforced whether they make sense or not. Most of us agreed that we would have to think about whether we come back to this venue again (although if it is the only norCal stop on the tour like this year then we'll probably be back. :) ) But in spite of the ushers/security and a pre-concert dinner from h*ll, we had a fun evening. It was great to see the boys in fine form and debuting their new CD.
On to Los Angeles tomorrow for the Nissan Live Set show! And I have my Dish ready to tape Jimmiy Kimmel tonight. Whoohoo! Life is good!

FIRST TIME!! well it was my son's first time. .
We met up with La Onda by the bay for dinner, and even though he's a lot younger than the rest of us.. .he was enjoying the scenery. (hopefully Bernadette will post pics of that) and everyone's company. We sure enjoy ourselves when we get together, and I think he loved seeing me in my 'element' since he's only Heard about La ONda. .etc.
SO then We went and sat down during Los Lobos and enjoyed the songs. . some zydeco sounding stuff. . Volver Volver. . (sp?). .and of course La Bamba. . and then when the boys came out. we were ON OUR FEET. . and I was so surprised by my son because he was singing all the songs (from Sacred and Self titled). .and dancing. .(so he DOES listen to the cds I send him). .lol
it was great for me to share my LLB passion with my son.

Our seats were in row K. . 11th row center. .and it was great to see all the Los Lobos fans. I handed out Forgiven Picks.. . and bookmarks. . before and after the show. . it was so much fun. . we also saw Ma Rocker & Pa Golfer. .
and she got her jacket signed by the boys. Margie stopped by during dinner and gave us to glow in the dark bracelets to wear for the concert. .she must have been passing those out to the crowd. Thanks Margie for those and the postcards!
Some of the LLB fans came up to us and said they read the fan forum but haven't posted but recognized me, and came up to say hello. . Martha was busy passing out postcards so we called her over to take this pic.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLEN LLBEAGLE. . .Onda Fly

We each gave her gifts at different times. . I found a card with several dogs and I had them wearing LLB shirts, party hats and we all signed one of the dogs. . when you open the card, it sang "WHO LET THE DOGS OUT. . WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF . ". (y'all know the song). . and it said "Party with the BIG dogs'. . meaning La Onda of course. .
it was a blast. . a while later she came up and got me. . (she was in the front row) and I went down to the front for the last few songs. . and picked up the monkeys and danced with them for a while. . exciting!!!

Here is a pic of said card ... all the doggies are wearing LLB t-shirts, and everyone signed by "their dog face"; and it's funny because some of the dogs DO actually resemble their human counterpart! (just kiddin', you guys) hahahah
I absolutely LOVE the card, ya'll. THANKS! you really made my night.
