LLB will be playing on May 3, 2008 for the 5 de Mayo Festival in Phoenix, AZ.
I'm so excited to see all these new shows pop up!

This two-day festival celebrates Cinco de Mayo with international and local entertainers, corporate booths, traditional Mexican foods, and a children's play area, and enjoyment for the entire family. The Cinco de Mayo Festival will take place at Central & Washington in downtown Phoenix. Call for more info 602-279-4669. In 2008: Saturday, May 3 (1 p.m. to midnight) and Sunday, 4 (noon to 10 p.m.)

I've placed a call to find out what other entertainers they have lined-up! Will provide info as soon as I get it ;)

Hey ya'll, Sara and I will be raising a toast to LLB and our fellow loopies later tonight with some tequila, lime and LOUD Texican Rock & Roll!! Going to the hometown celebrations today...parade, entertainment and food at the park. (hehe :D ;) street teaming time!) Hola familia...I couldn't resist and had to write a quick review. I told Michelle I was going straight to bed and would not get online until tomorrow LOL!! These long overnight trips sure catch up with you, we were all soooooooooo tired from being ONDA road, but I'll tell ya, it's always worth it! :D ;) Unfortuately, Vicki and Pat are still ONDA road, but are safe and almost home (to Vicki's that is).

First of all, the amount of people at the concert was unbelievable!! When Michelle and I arrived in Phoenix, we headed to the main street where the festival was taking place and met up with Pat, Vicki and Chelsea (Vicki's niece). We were also greeted by Ian...such a sweet guy!!! The weather was not bad considering we were in the desert...about 92 degrees with a breeze (perfect!!). :cool:

We decided we would take our picture with the traveling banner at this time....

We did some street-teaming handing out postcards to the public visiting the merchandise table and at later during the show (people were asking for more cards). It was amazing to see how as the time drew closer to the GETTING LONELY time, the streets filled with people making it impossible to get through. We were a bit disappointed at the set-up of the stage. The sponsors had a VIP section closed off to the public. Therefore, we were left in the back!!! It wasn't long before we ended up in the VIP section. LOL :D

I was finally getting my dose of LLB!!! The boys looked great on stage although the lighting wasn't the best...it was a bit dark (especially on Ringo)! I took some pics but weren't the greatest...hopefully the others captured better photos.

The boys opened with Crossroads...a first for me! I captured that on video and will post soon along with the highlight of the night--the boys were inducted into the Hispanic Walk of Fame in Phoenix!!! It sure was a treat to witness this honor. When they presented the boys with a plaque, JoJo quickly grabbed it and started walking away and left his brothers and everyone else laughing.

Tasina and Debbie have posted the setlist...the intro to Nobody Else is now one of my favorites and I believe ASF's too!!! I captured that on video as well! They also have a new intro to Oye Mamacita. I love the way they mix it up...I couldn't tell if this was a new song or not. Unfortunately, there were no new songs :(

The best thing about this trip was the laughter and memories shared with my travelin' sistas! We were up until dawn and were spoiled by a desert sunrise...just had to share!

We had the greatest time! We stood up until AFTER the sun came up just laughing and having a good time!!

It was a last minute trip for all of us except Vicki! I think I decided to go on THURSDAY NIGHT! That's when Laurie and I threw all the plans together... and $5 to see a show is too good to pass up!

Got to hang out with Vicki for the first time!! We got along so well, she's such a good friend!

First of all I want to thank you all for such sweet little notes I received online while I was away. They were all so thoughtful! I do apologize for not making calls, I only knew 1 phone number, and since I lost my silly phone I couldn’t call anyone else. I’m so sorry. Next time I PROMISE we all had a lot of fun. No doubt, when and how could things go wrong if you get to see the boys live?! Ok ok I’ll take it from the top for ya’ll

Pat and I decided to drive down together, and I took my niece along with me – it was her first concert EVER, what a way to go?! First concert and it was LOS LONELY BOYS!!!! I’ve defiantly got an influence on her we all met up in Phoenix, me, my niece Chelsea, Pat, Laurie, and Michelle! I hadn’t seen Laurie in a long time and I way way excited to finally be able to meet Michelle, she is such a great person! We all had so much fun. I don’t think I would have wanted to spend my Cinco de Mayo weekend any other way!


The boys were awesome, they started out with Crossroads – a great SRV cover! I thought they were going go start a new song that night, and told Pat “it’s a new song! It’s a new song!” Michelle corrected me – it was the newer intro to Nobody Else *blush and giggle* Crossroads was a treat for me, I hadn’t seen the boys do that one before. I think I got a few good shots of them i’m not too sure yet but as soon as I do and find a way to get them uploaded I’ll show them to you all


I got to see Ian and hang out with him for a bit, he is such a sweetheart! His son Jacob? Jason? Or was it George? I had to keep asking – i’m so bad with names! SORRY, but like Pat said – you can defiantly see a family resemblance between the both of those two dashin men :D. spending time with great guys like that - you cant help but think about the things they do on the road. I’ll bet anything that they have a really great time, just like brothers do.


The highlight of the whole weekend has got to be spending time with my La Onda friends! That was so great to just have a definant MEMORABLE weekend! I honestly think I will never forget this weekend, its going in my journal - we stayed up way past the break of dawn and got about a good hour rest and headed out on our journey home. Well my home - Pat stayed the night with me. I really wish we would have had Debbie there with us! That would have made it just perfect!!! I think im just about ready for another road trip!!! What do ya think? lol

The boys were lookin GREAT, Henry was doin great with crossroads - it was the first time i saw them do it live, ive heard it over phone calls and through things i get from other La Onda members, but it was AMAZING! Like Laurie said, there werent any new songs :( But we of course got oldies but goodies! Thank God Laurie made those awesome cool postcards, they went FAST, we were able to hook them up with those beautiful cards right after they visited the Merch. Table. Ian said a few times - THINGS LA ONDA DO FOR THE BOYS AMAZE ME, LOOK AT YOU - YOUR STANDING OUT IN HOT WEATHER GIVING FANS INFO ON THE NEW CD, AND TOURS! It was all team work, i was glad to be included in such a wonder team :D We all put our efforts in.

The show started a little bit late, im guessing they had a meet and greet or radio stop to do before they got on. The crowd was loving them, although we were a ways back for a while, later we got better standing grounds - like Laurie said the lighting wasnt that great. It felt a little too dark to me. As soon as i find my adapter for the camera i'll post some of the better pics :)


Again we've got to give a round of applause to the crew!

Ian was doing wONDAful job, and Ish was great, the boys are starting to do alot of the shuffles, and chop steps again and there was Ish, helpin with Henry's guitar cord :D Gotta love them, Glenn was there too - he of course did a very good job at getting them there around and back to the stage safely. Im glad they have such a wonderful crew! The drivers, God Bless them! Its alot of driving!! Im sure they are all back home now, and i hope they get well rested up. They've sure got enough time for it. I managed to get in a some sleep but i find myself nodding off here at work a bit. *NOT GOOD* :eek: :eek: :p But worth the show!

Pat is still on her way home, its her birthday today so shes taking her time. She was in Santa Fe eating a meal and just soakin up the time. I wish i was out there with her, i would have definantly enjoyed the extra day off :D Im sure she'll have a lot to add on.

Thanks for the update!! Wish I could have been there! Sounds like I missed a GREAT time! I'll just have to make up for it in Albuquerque in July. Get some rest now! :p
