You are sooo lucky, I just checked ticketmaster for the fun of it and I could have got FRONT ROW, it was avilable as of 12:44 EST

Ya know what's strange is that the Fan Club ticketing has tickets for this show but they are General admission and ticketmaster has tickets and they are reserved seating.-

Hi All!

I don't know if this will count as the "Official FIRST CONCERT Date" - the Boys will be appearing here in Denver this Saturday, March 8th at the Adam's Mark Hotel performing for the Latin American Educational Foundation as the headliners. I'll be trying to write a setlist - hopefully they will perform some new songs from the new CD, some old and some covers (just like all of you in TX got to hear at the Steel Penny!)

Velvet- I would love to have the link to your recording of "Let's Get It On" - I know that's your favorite cover (mine too!) to help set the mood!

Rita~ Sorry to hear you can't make it. I talked to another fan from NM that won't be able to go either :( The other concert for Aug 21st sure is expensive, but I wish ya'll the best of luck you can make that one or another will come your way :)

I wonder if that's a typo --I thought the boys were in NM in August? It would be great if they were there in July and August, but we'll have to wait and see. I'm going to try to make it to one of these shows in NM..have been wanting to for the past three years! :(

Laurie~ You're right, The Boys are gonna be there in August for sure, according to the tour schedule. It's hard to tell lately which concert is for real or not, I hope this one is and you get a chance to go as well. This is one show I would consider going to.... I guess all we can do is just watch the tour schedule.

Rob and I just got home from NM. It was a last minute decision to go--Tasina and I decided we just HAD to go to the first show of the 2008 tour--especially since she has the traveling banner (Rita sent it to her for the Grants Pass, OR show next week, which was SUPPOSED to be the first show of the 2008 tour.) But, when this show came up we quickly talked each other into going (didn't take much to persuade each other to go! :D )

We flew in on Friday and rented a car and drove the 4 hours to Inn of the Mountain Gods in Mescalero, NM--a beautiful casino in the mountains on a lake, surrounded by pine trees. We arrived about 4 pm, and ran into Chiqui and Shashavic while we were checking in. Tasina and I both tried to take a nap before the concert since we'd had 2 hours sleep the night before, and didn't sleep on the plane or in the car because we were too excited!

The boys came out a little after 9 pm--so good to see them on stage again! Jojo said something about they weren't going to play anything new tonight, so we were a little disappointed that we didn't get to hear any new songs. But, the "oldies" we did hear were wONDAful! Superstition, Friday Night, Onda, Velvet Sky!!! During Velvet Sky Jojo messed up one of the verses, and the boys were all laughing. Tasina and I were cracking up. Afterwards he said "that's an old song so maybe some of you don't know the words" (because not many people sang when the boys asked the audience to join in), but then he looked right at Tasina and pointed to her and said, "But I know YOU know the words!" The next song was Friday Night, and Jojo messed up the beginning of it and walked over and said something to Henry, and they just continued to play and started the song all over again. They were laughing and joking throughout the show, and seemed relaxed and happy to be on stage again.

We took some pictures with the traveling banner, first with kathygonlonely and her family and then with Chiqui in the hotel lobby. I'm sure Tasina will post the banner pictures and also add other details about the show, once she has time to recover!

Thanks for the calls Tas and KathygonLonely. Especially during VS - even though JoJo messed up (dang - I can't believe that!!!!:p ). Been a long since I heard my most favorite song well next to Oye, Texican Style, NMAW, MTB, C&C, Onda, .... well anyway.

I don't know if the boys were even MORE hot than ever or if it's because I was feeling the "drought" . . .either way, they ROCKED the HOUSE with FIRE! Alot of the old favorites. . that first strum of Crazy Dream brought my heart beating outta my chest. . .and I couldn't believe when they started "My Loneliness" as the second song. . one of my all time favorites.

We had such a blast right in the center of second row and when they came out, we held up our La Onda banner and they saw us right away. . .they were very happy to be playing again.. and man DID THEY PLAY!! Nobody's Fool had Henry dazzling us all with his fine guitar work. . Friday Night, Superstition, Velvet sky, Nobody Else. . . awesome!

I tried uploading my video files but they are too big for youtube and my google video is NOT working. . but I will get them up there eventually. I also called some loopies but need to know:

WHO can receive video files on their phone?? I sent a bunch out but only heard back from one person. It's great to get that out to loopies as it's happenin.

One other thing is the venue, the Inn of the Moutain Gods was definitely in the middle of beauty. . it was fabulous~ I put together a slideshow with more pics of the place than the actual concert. .mainly because my camera is just crap. Next shows I'll take Ronnie's camera. . .

in the meantime, I hope you enjoy these pics. . I told Ronnie, we are going back AGAIN. . . it's beautiful there, with a lake for fishing, a golf course, pool, etc. . .Martha, Rob and I had a wondaful time. . .and meeting up with other La Onda was fun :)

That is very nice of you to take your bride to LLB show. You two will have a good time. This will be my second time seeing the boys at Sandia Casino - I really like this particular venue. I don't think there is a bad seat in the place.
