okay...who out there has one of those little hand held jobbies?? (digital audio recorder)

AMY- I know you bought one, and was taking it to the deSol shows, and got pretty good sound from it....But what KIND was it?? And didn't you say you had an external mic? (one you plugged in)...

Anyone ELSE have any ideas about the hand held things?? I've been looking at them, and they seem kind of, well, tiny! LOL

Does SIZE matter here? hahahaha...

And what about the extra mic?? I can't seem to find any of those, even if I did get a recorder to use........

I'm so confused, sometimes my blondeness shows!! LOL

You're too funny, Rita...LOL. I have to tell you MY funny "blonde" story (and I'm not blonde!). I bought one of those small digital recorders and it picks up sound REALLY well, almost TOO well....I have a recording front stage center of Kelly and other Loopies screamin' their lungs out. Can't hear the Boys much...just the girls screaming. Well, this little recorder has more than one track. I bought it because I needed to get a cell phone recording off of a cell phone before it erased it. The brand of the digital recorder, before I forget, is a SONY ICD-8500. The cell phone recording is now permanently saved in this little digital recorder, and because I'm TOO afraid I might accidentally erase the recording, I won't use it for anything else. What's the recording??? It's JOJO! He recorded a personal message for me when Kelly told him she had to leave me at the hotel and I couldn't be at the concert!! So I carry sweet Jojo in my pocket and play his voice anytime I want---but I can't use my recorder!! HAHA! :D

The recorder I have is an Olympus not sure of the model right now,but the thing is great. it is compact and easy to use, it hold about 77 hour of music and has 4 seperate files to put them in. It is a stereo recording but I did buy and extra stereo mic that I can attach and then clip on what ever I want to. It wasn't that expensive recorder $200 mic $50 but it's well worth the money I have already recorded about 10 shows aleady (deSol, Blessid Union Of Soul, and Adam Ezra) Oh another great thing about this recorder is that it is like a Flash drive and can be pluged directly into the computer, no extra wires and it runs on one AAA battery. I am anxiuosly waiting my first LLB tape.

I can vouch for the quality of Amy's taping, as I've been the lucky recipient on an occasion or two!! Thanks, Amy!

Yes Ruth, I've got a CD (or 2) Amy has given me from a show she's taped, and it's GREAT!! ;)

So thanks my Sista-- for the info. Though now I'm debating about getting one for FLorida because both places have "No camera/recording allowed".... Not fair...... so I guess I'll just WAIT for the New England shows, and by then I'll have more $$ for it as well...right??? (that's what I'm trying to tell myself at least!!! LOL)
Yes, think positivly for what is ahead.........

Usually LLB/Management is taper/photo friendly. It's the venues that you have to watch. If you can get your device in .... more power to you. Just remember to share! We haven't have a vine in over a year. It would be awesome to see more trading done.

I've got a bunch of Snip-its from September shows I have converted to iPod 'friendly' files! LOL I'll get them on here SOON, okay, I promise! LOL Plus, I have an AWESOME vid from boston..... but again, gotta convert them, so give me some time, okay???

What I came here for REALLY was to ask---
Anyone out there w/ an iPod , ever use a RECORDER for iPOd on your iPod before?? I JUST learned that there are devices you attach to iPod (mainly 2-3-4th gen classic & video) in which you can then RECORD onto the iPod!
For me, I think it is SO TOTALLY AWESOMELY KOOL--you have no idea how thirleed I am to discover this info!! LOL
I have an 80g video-- but have MAYBE 6gig used w/ songs/vids/movies/photos/etc. So the rest is just ''going to waste'', right? I'd SO love to get one of these recorder thingies, and then begin recording shows!! OMG
So I was just wondering if anyone HAD one, how it actually Worked (do you have to enable disk use?), and how it actually Sounds! LOL
I can't find any near where I live- NO surprise there! LOL... but have seen dozens on ebay ( griffen iPod recorder), so am seriously thinging about getting one from there in ready for NEXT YEARS Onda Road trip(S!)...And then there is Xmas coming up too......

Well, thats all. I was just wondering.....
I'm babbleing again. Sorry :o
