I don't often read the Home Page of the forum ... but this right here made stop and pay attention!....
The Boys Are Back in the Studio!
Yes, it's now official... LOS LONELY BOYS have arrived in Austin, TX to officially begin recording the follow-up to their critically-acclaimed 2007release, Sacred. The upcoming CD will mark their third label release since their self-titled debut on Or Music. A powerhouse recording team has been assembled and they’re all in place to begin working on the brothers' newest release. The new LLB "Dream Team" includes Grammy award winning producer and acclaimed drummer, composer, and musical director Steve Jordan (http://www.stevejordan.net/) (Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, John Mayer, Herbie Hancock), along with engineers Niko Bolas (http://www.neeks.com/) (Neil Young, KISS, Don Henley, Godsmack, Sting, Keith Richards, Fiona Apple), Dave Natale (http://books.google.com/books?id=9a3apj_GsyIC&pg=PA106&lpg=PA106&dq=dave+natale's+engineer&source=web&ots=Gc-oYzK-uD&sig=A_gjNT3PbAt0BtINJ73kt5YeHuY#PPA101,M1) (Rolling Stones, Motley Crue, Fleetwood Mac) and mixing engineer Manny Marroquin (http://www.mannymarroquin.com/) (Carlos Santana, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, T.I, Rihanna).
Recognizing the strength of LLB's live performance and knowing the impact that their live set adds to their music, Producer Steve Jordan is approaching this record from a slightly less conventional approach. They will be adding their on-stage "magic" directly into the mix by simulating a live on-stage scenario where the boys feel the most comfortable and most creative. Instead of the traditional recording studio, the recording will take place on a sound stage with complete front-of-house setup like the boys' live shows. The new yet-to-be-titled album is scheduled for release in early July. Can hardly wait!
Stay tuned to the LLB Fan Club for more updates in the coming weeks!
These are heavy duty names helping the boys with the new CD - NOW I know it's gonna be everything we expected. I would love to be a fly on the wall ..... hoping our favorite photographer Carlos San Miguel is around to capture some in-action shots. That would be awesome!
