Hello Lonelies and Loopies,

I was just wondering where else you guys log onto the web in your free time.

For me, MYSPACE has been my main way of staying in touch with friends nowadays. It has my blog (whenever I need to get something off my chest), my calendar, friends and it's a way of expression. It definitely has it's silly attributes and some people just want to see how many "friends" they can get but I find it useful. I'm not in touch with anyone I don't personally know.

Also, since I'm looking for a new job, I've been on LinkedIn.com. A nice networking site for professionals. I've reconnected with quite a few business contacts here.

Then there's the addictive site called Yelp.com To this day, my dream job would be to be a Food Critic. I'm customer service oriented and am a 4-5 star kind of girl when it comes to the service industry. Yelp.com let's everyday people write honest reviews. I find it helpful when I need a recommendation on where to get my eyebrows done, or where to have a romantic dinner, or whatever.

Just wondering how you spend time on the web..

Great question! I spend a lot of time on both LLB forums (on one, trying to keep the spam out, on the other, just keeping in touch with friends).

I also spend time on writers forums. It really helps me in my own writing to see what's going on 'out there'.

Besides that, I have my own website to keep up with.

I do, on occasion, close the laptop and get some housework done. :p

'Puter and me are REAL good friends.... :D

Like Belle, I, too, have a website (LLB) to maintain. I like MySpace, too, Bernadette --- never thought I would, but you're right, it helps to keep in touch.

I spend some time on Writer's Cafe. But probably my main hangout (besides here) is Club Pogo, an online gaming service. I'm a mean gin player....
I have a very stressful job, and I've found that games help me to relax, plus you meet a lot of nice people.

It's a routine for me pretty much . . (except when I'm on the rez. or this past holiday season I was having some blues. . so I wasn't on much).
I start out checking 3 of my 8 yahoo accounts, then depending on time, I go the links of messages on my myspace and here.

At work, I go to kfog.com and click listen live, and leave that radio on all day.

Myspace for me is all my personal friends, I don't accept anyone I don't know. I check out music there, and have connected with some good bands, trying to promote them by having them as my top friends. It is a good way to keep up by seeing others pictures, blogs, and bulletins. . . I announce events, shows, opinions, there also, helps with my political organizing.

Lately I've been volunteering for Barack Obama and am on the computer there, but mainly doing the work there, so it's only one site. . a voter site.

Great seeing you Bernadette my ONDAroadmate ONdaroomie :)
NINE more weeks and we're ondaroad again!! Love ya!

I have a regular routine too. When I get to work I have to check my e-mail because I might have some urgent case that I need to assign right away or some *high priority* bureaucratic *bad word* that I need to tend to right away. After that is done I head to llb's "splash " site to check out "on the road" and then go to the fan site. After that I hit cruisecritic.com cause I am a cruise junkie! ;)

Tasina...going on the road in 9 weeks...wish I was you :)

Kim

MamacitaRuth - HILARIOUS! Yup, I don't know what I'd do without my 'puter.

Tasina - EIGHT yahoo accounts? Holy smoke! That's a lot. Multiple split personality..hmmm??? Just kidding. Love ya!

Yup - ondaroad in 8 weeks. Oh dear...need a job, like now.

Another fun site is youtube.com - My bf's iPhone is awesome. When waiting in line for a movie or waiting for a table at a restaurant, we check out youtube. Look up Jeff Dunham. A comedian that has Achmed the Dead Terrorist act. It's hilarious. I think I've watched it every night before I went to bed for about a week. "Stop.... touching... me.... I....kill....you...."
