Wow, Kim! You're really going? I'd like to, but my daughter/traveling partner is 14, and probably too many drunk bikers for me. It doesn't matter to me, but for her, I just wouldn't. But it is tempting. Saving for Florida or Texas dates, depending on the tour schedule, if it ever comes up! I'm getting anxious!!! i THINK i'M HAVING WITHDRAWLS!!!! I need a LLB fix!

It's nice that the Boys will be at this event BUT those Harley Executives have to get their act together, look how someone describes Our Boys on their site...California's Los Lobos are the reigning kings of Tex-Mex/Rock Espanol. A band of brothers, led by guitarist/vocalist Henry Garza and his younger, bass-and-drum-playing siblings Jojo and Ringo. The style combines Stevie Ray Vaughan blues, Santana-style guitar licks and R&B.

Gigi is all over this one, she'll set them straight

Hey on the los lobos note, I found on the internet some chatter abt los lobos performing at the summerfest venue the same date as LLB. Guess the harley site is where someone came up with that one. :( I may not be heading to the harley event after all; hotels in milwaukee are totally booked for the festival. Closest hotel is 50-70 miles out and that doesn't really work for me as I will be doing lots of driving after the harley event heading out west and want/need something close to the festival. If anybody finds any availability please let me know. I'll be contacting some hotel folk tomorrow to find out if all those rooms are really "gone" or just blocked off for someone.

you can officially count me out on this one :(
My LLB Road trip will have to start a few days later and in a different locale but hopefully heading west.
I contacted the milwaukee travelers people and they told me that the hotels in milw have been sold out for awhile and that it happens every year. The woman I spoke to said that literally 80,000 people pounce on the city for those two days. Sounds a little too much of a mob scene to me.
Still working on getting a hotel for tampa bay blues festival.

Well, I'll be representin' at this show since I live here. I hope some of the rest of you brave the bikers and join me. I'm looking forward to hearing some songs off the new album.

I also get to see the boys when they come back to our local casino on April 8th. Potawatomi is a great venue. Last time they were here I got a seat right at the edge of the stage and I have hopes of a repeat.

Come to Milwaukee! You know you wanna...

I believe I will be able to make both the April 8th show, and the August one. I know people who live in Milwaukee (no worries about hotels), and hopefully can get them to go to the shows. Am also working on bringing some people with me from "home". Trying to recruit! :D (Not that they don't want to go, mind you. :) )
