When I was thinking about the new CD, I remembered how much trouble the Boys had with "Orale" --- people mispronouncing it and so on. Well, guys, if you're reading this --- you'll find this funny, too. Jojo said the new CD would have a 'raw' sound, and after hearing "Times Are Hard", I thought maybe RAW in Spanish would be a good name........Well, RAW in Spanish is CRUDO! :D :o I can just imagine what the DJs would do with THAT one!! Soooo, peoples, what name would you come up with for the new LLB CD?

senoRita

Crudo also means "hangover" LOL. I suppose it's possible but I don't have a guess at this point. LLB will come up with something cool,

I think that raw in english would get the point across as to what the CD is about to EVERYONE, many people have misconceptions about the boys music, mainly from the singles. I tell everyone how "raw" they really are, and they just dont get it many times. That word is kinda harsh, spanish words are pretty, but I say just speak the truth. I'm sure some metal band thought that name up 20 years ago. so we need a word to reflect the music. any more good ideas? Something to get peoples attention and spark curiosity. I also heard Jojo say this CD would "Tear the flesh off the bone!" how about Texican Bone???? I bet I think up a few more, give me time! :)

"Back to Raw Basics" ;)

I haven't got a better suggestion, but I don't think "Raw" or "Texican Bone" are good ideas...although for all the vegetarians " Raw T-Bone" sounds a treat (just thought of that...silly). Raw is a slang word for naked in Australia

I'm sure LLB and Co. are kicking around some good meaningful names. Has to better than "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb" :D
It's funny to learn that crudo translates to hangover. I have a good friend whose nickname is Crud...very apt.
I just wish them all well with the recording and production. U2 have been recording in Fez Morrocco with the old team of Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno.
That's two new albums I'm excited about. What a treat.

Since The Boys want to get back to doing things "their way", I thought HEART & SOUL would be nice. The very place where dreams are born to begin with :)

I haven't been around too much lately due to the holidays and everything else, so my first question is "Is there an article (or whatever) about the new cd? Some of you refer to what The Boys said about the new cd. I like to get 'in the know'.

Also, "Tres" - what does it mean?

I like that, Belle! ....you're having entirely too much FUN with your new software...tehehe

Amore, there was no article, per se, but in a brief interview, Jojo said the next album would be "raw"..."strip the flesh from the bone". This is what everyone keeps referencing. Also, "Tres" means "three" in Spanish.

MamacitaRuth & senoRita - thanks for filling me in, much appreciated.

I happened to like two of them so far; my first choice is "Heart & Soul". It really describes them 'cuz they give all that they have. My second choice is "Texican to the Bone"...gotta love that.

Then I was just playing around with some thoughts and came up with "Texican Style" and "Getting Lonely" - though they both seem corny, but it does identify them. Oh well, I tried.

On the old fan forum, before the second cd came out, fans were discussing titles then also. . Someone suggested "DOS". . and that's when Tres, said something like
"yeah, then the third one would be Tres". .

that must have been two years ago or so right VS?

Love the way ya'll pursued Tres.

Honestly, we had dummy art for the second album, including a silhouette of Jojo holding up two fingers. It was one of the ways we kept ourselves stoked while we waited. It was, obviously, Dos. And so this one becomes Tres the same way; that's the only reason I dropped it in the other post. But it really never could be tres you know...this is really Quatro or even Cinco. And that's probably as good as most DJs could handle any Spanish...sadly.

Times Are Hard would be a nice gritty title...for a raw album. Razor would work...

If we didn't have Long Road Out of Eden, Long Road - as in the road away from home so many weeks - would work.

San Angelo or San Angelo Sun - ah, probably a little parochial, and easy to miss on the stack, but you can feel the heart...

On The River would work for the Concho flowing thru San Angelo, and (with some embarassment, if they'd like to perform On Da River, that'd be great, right Onda?). For me, when I first heard Texican Style at Kevin's, the song always felt like a jam under the pecan trees along the river...

And if it were more like album 1, the I think Zoot Suit would work, and they could re-perform Friday Night.

With this album going for a live feel, let's hope we get an expanded Man To Beat!

Ah...now there's a TITLE!

(Oh, how pompous, ASF trying to name an album he's heard almost none of!)

I think I'd like to see it named "Friday Night" - and they could re-do Friday night.... for it :D (( 'kids' don't KNOW what a Zoot Suit is!! LOL))
What a great album to have in the car as you're cruising the streets on Friday night W/ friends (or at least that is what WE use to do- back in the STONE AGE!!! LOL  )---what a great "date night" album LLB would be too------

I also like the idea of "On the river"...don't know why--- even w/out the Onda tie-in with ODR, I just like the SOUND of that title....... :D

Also like 'Razor'...........it's so SHARP sounding (hahaha) ;)

So it's a no-go for Tres, huh??? Well there goes my idea for the SWAG cards!!! LOL No biggie---- but having a huge '3' as a graphic is alot simpler than a river or suit!! hahahaha......just means I have to crank up the OLD brain for ideas!!!! LOL :p

Mark, I agree with your "Times are Hard" as the name of the album, because it represents this time in age...with many suffering from what they are calling a recession, I think this is very appropriate (not to mention it's already the name of one of their new songs)! I would love for this new album to have more bluesy tunes and include some of their oldies like FRIDAY NIGHT, MAN TO BEAT, HURT, and others from the Blue Cat Blues cd.

Oh and Mark, there's no need to be embarrassed when inviting them to perform at ODR 4....I think we'd all love that for sure! :)

Laurie:

On The River (On Da River) is a song I wrote. A couple of the fans have heard it harped, but never performed. It was written for ODR2. That's the embarassment - my embarassment - cuz I'd give the boys the song just to hear it performed.

Otherwise, O*H*Y I'd love to have them perform while the fans are gathered.
