$30 general admission or $150 a day for up front/stage/side stage seating with backstage access.

Just booked the Laquinta in St. Petersburg for $50.45 for 4/12/08 on hotwire.
It is 5.8 miles from the venue (11 minutes) and is a slight step up in quality from the days inn. I'm only going to crash there so with the money I saved I think I'll take a taxi to the festival. My husb will be coming along :D

I know exactly what you mean but...this was so cheap compared to what I have been finding in that area for that date...that i grabbed it. If I'm in JAX friday night so be it. :D I will survive. The thing that is really driving my cheapness is the big vacation i have planned after this gig. Monster money, scary......kim :eek:

LLB will hopefully book a Jacksonville date, too. Last years show was the best show I've ever heard them play! They played in The Florida Theatre, which is a beautifully restored, art deco theatre, with the best acoustics around. So, dont count that city off your list. now, kimann, are you driving, or flying? because it'll take you about 4 hours to get to St Pete from Jacksonville. And this show is first come, for seating. I am most likely staying near the venue the night before, so I will for sure be up front, and can enjoy the festival all day. If you want me to try to save you space up there, let me know, but you know how that can be. :confused: And Rosie, this waiting is difficult! I want to know the when and where so bad, its making me crazy! :eek:

uh, i think you guys should know that the only 'seats' that will be set up is the front stage for those folks who paid $150 for backstage access...otherwise you better bring blankets or your own chairs to sit in.

Just an FYI for y'all. :) And with Florida...always bring a poncho. I don't know if umbrellas will be allowed.

Oh, I thought you said something about going to jacksonvile on friday. okeechobee, is that by orlando? Anyway, we'll all be there together! I'm excited to meet everyone! I just wonder how close we're going to be able to be. Either way, we'll do our best. I am over paying high dollar for better seats, but backstage would be awesome. At the House of Blues, I paid for vip seating, which was alot farther away than the general admission seating, or standing, i should say, but we had our own cocktail waitress....whoppie.... I left the vip area and got myself up front and never looked back!

The boys wont be on till 8:30PM so I am not planning on getting there until mid afternoon. I would like to be up close and see Walter Trout who is on before the boys. Hello!! I'm trying to book a room at the Laquinta on Saturday night (4/12), but on Hotwire, they don't tell you which hotel it is until after you pay, so I'm not sure what to do. On hotwire it's $54 and on LaQuinta it's $85, Help? Any suggestions?

Yep, I finally got up the nerve to hit the "Click here" button. I figured if we got a "Days Inn" or whatever, we'd only be there probably a few hours anyway, so We did it, and we got the right one! Woo Hoo! Also booked our Airfare R/T to Tampa. So no turning back!

I remember the first time I ever used Priceline and had to wake up my husb at 10:30pm to tell him we had to leave early for st. augustine the next morning as I had scored a two night stay there. There has been no looking back since then. I have used priceline and hotwire for many trips and also like hilton.com and choicehotels.com. Have had the best luck with hotwire lately.

Just returned from the florida trip. Awesome shows, great meeting the fan club members; rosie, rita, kristin, devin, janine, chiqui, debbie (hugs), amore and husb jim and cree. We didn't get to spend much time together but I want to thank all of you for your kindness and the great swag.

The tampa bay blues festival was a total blast. My husb chuck and I arrived in time to see tab benoit and walter trout's full sets. My husb really enjoyed it and wants to go back next year. Of course LLB rocked the house. I see tash has already posted the set list - thanks tash; wish you could have been there.

The Garzas were so awesome last night at the blues festival, i swear there's a few more stars in the sky! I would like to say they blew the roof off that place...and since there was no roof...I'll settle for ADDING more stars in the sky! Jojo/Henry messed up on one song...they were laughing, the crowd was eating their honesty up! (they couldn't cover that one up) They left St Pete begging for more. (me too)

The baking in the sun was worth it. I was just glad the park was right on the gulf of mexico, b/c the Gulf breeze made the day bearable.

It was cool meeting, Michelle, Kimann, Rita, Janine for the first time. It was great seeing Rosie, Debbie, Pat, Ev, again. I hope we get to do it again soon!

After a long hot day in the sun, with many sun baked hippies, I have returned from my adventure to Tampa Blues Fest! I was right up front, behind Pat, sorry if I screamed in your ear, Love you! and we all had a blast! The boys were on fire with music and just being more fun than ever! They played C&C, which I had never heard live, I am still smiling, and probably will be for some time! I hope everyone made it home safely. :)

I was shakin' my big 'ol mexican boody. :rolleyes: That young man that played Friday Night with them(i think a cousin?) came to the last Florida show I went to in Orlando for Mardi Gras too. He has been GREAT!! I can't remember his name, just the accordion thing he plays. I don't know what it is I'm ashamed to admit. It looks like an electronic accordian - not really any piano keys - omg i'm so dumb! i have a pic I can share of it!!! Very nice looking man by the way....Mardi Gras last year! I think this is the cousin you are referring to Velvetsky.

The night was so great, it might be my all time favorite show. Starting with Clapton's "Crossroads", Friday night, Heaven, Crazy Dream, Chicago's "I'm a man" (pretty cool) then EOANB! They had the crowd all wound up! They were all in AWE! They rocked the house SOOOO MUCH! Jojo was actually RUNNING AROUND, pointing to his ears, like "I can't hear you!!!" Then he broke a string, wrapped his hand around it, and ripped it off his bass! Sooo cool. I've never seen them so into it! I really wish all you girls were there. But I totally forgot I had video on my camera, and didn't video anything. Stupid, stupid, stupid! But it really was a night to remember. You know how the night goes by really fast? Well, that's what happened. I could listen & watch them for hours & hours.

Tasina, I have a Kodak easy share that's a couple years old...it takes great pictures, but at night my subjects must remain still...imagine that. Henry, Ringo, Jojo remain still?? HAA! I tried to take good ones but took very few pics, I will salvage what i can. most are blurry. but i think one or two might be ok. i will post as soon as i can.

I do have some pictures that came out, but alot didn't. Between the lights and the shaking of my camera, it was very difficult. I still need to download them on my computer; and then try to figure out how to post here. I will probably work on it this weekend.

Henry, JoJo and Ringo were dynamite!!! They had SO MUCH energy and it showed. The crowd really went wild. AND The Boys knew we were there, JoJo even pointed at us at one time. If only I could have stopped time; I did not want it to end. :(

Sorry to take so long in getting over here...but life is hectic now...to say the least!! The Tampa show, musically speaking, I agree Rosie is my very favorite!!! To hear Crossroads, I'm a Man and especially C & C! I was literally in Heaven...Ev and I were nicknamed "squeeky", we literally had NO voice left to scream with!! I guess we lost it at HOB with the fun there!! It was awesome meeting Janine & Devon, Kimann and Chuck, seeing Ev, Jim and Cree again and of course my good ol' buddies, Rosie & Kristen, Rita, Pat and Michelle!! Baking in the sun was SOO worth it!! I have not seen their energy that high..since we stood for hours in the rain last year at Universal!! But the weather God's looked kindly on us all..and it was apparent they had converted tons of new Blues followers over to some MEAN Texican Rock and Roll!! I saw Jeremy(the BOYS cuz from FL) come thru the gate and called him over. He was surprised I knew his name..I remembered him from Universal last year..he'd played the button acccordian then on Texican Style..and said he was playing again this year..I was surprised and SO happy to see him up with them on Friday Nights!! That was the song they messed up on and it was EOANB that JoJo broke his string and ripped it out...I think it got stuck on his hair..it was behind his head..he took it down, ripped it out and kept right on playing!! JoJo always the charmer..made sure to give us Loopies plenty of smiles and waves..he knew we were there..the ones yelling (or squeeking) the loudest!! I'll try to add a few of my best pictures...as the others girls said...the stage was quite a ways from us..that and the wires, light cans and people walking by (or dancing!) I only called a few this night...barely any cells left on my battery...(it sure goes down fast away from home! )..but called at least one per song at HOB..had to do something felt naked without a camera in my hand!! THIS show kicked some major BUTT!!!! LOVED this show beyond words!!! Miss all my gals!! THANKS Tash for being our secretary...(I talk fast..did you take shorthand)???

I remember seeing the fireworks a bit... there weren't very many but I remember seeing Jojo turning around when they went off.

Hi All of my fellow Loopies, Lonelies and Traveling Sisters! Finally able to log on and download some of my pics from our FL travels! That was definitely a trip REMEMBERING (the GREAT - seeing Tab Benoit open for the Boys, the GREATEST - seeing our sisters Rita, Rosie & Kristen and FINALLY meeting our FL sisters (and Lonelies) Janine, Devon, Ev, Jim, Cree, Kimann and Chuck! and the BEST- seeing 3 AWESOME on-fire performances by the Boys! The FIREWORKS that went off behind the Boys just expressed what we were all feeling that night from the stage!

The highlight for this show was the performance with their cousin Jeremy who Jojo introduced by saying, "We have a special treat for you tonight - we're playing with our familia - our primo!" and they lit up the stage with Jeremy's accordion playing for "Friday Night"!

Rita, I agree with you about JoJo, Wish I could have taken more. He was in the path of the lights...,ha,ha,...He was in the "Lime Light",, :D.

Guess What Everyone? I managed for the very first time to use my video on my digital camera. Never tried it before, and by golly, I got something. I just don't know how to post it. It's not the best in the world, but I am proud of it since I didn't even know how to do it. Just pressed the button :eek: :D

GREAT pics gals!! It wasn't the easiest venue to photograph ..but hey it all helps bring back those awesome memories, right?!!!! THAT show was BEYOND WORDS ...I don't have any pics of Jeremy playing with them..as I videos it..so thanks for posting those Pat!! Ev I agree that one of Henry is REALLY good!! Half the fun of that day was just walking, toasting and roasting (NOT drinking...from the HEAT!) with some great Loopies (and a Lonely..HI Jim!) and our nice guy behind/beside us who was my "knight-in-shining armor" when that rude-dude spilled beer all over my GORGEOUS LLB jeans jacket Rita made me!! GEEZ!!! (Wish people would NOT walk and drink)...oh well...we made TONS of new friends..talked LLB up..but once they heard them...there were NO words needed!! I must have given away over 100 bumper stickers out I'd had made and people were bugging me.."BUT I want one!" WHAT a GREAT crowd...GREAT show, GREAT weather and GREAT friends!!! WOW!!!!! Still flying high about it!

We spent alot of hours that day getting to know each other, and it was great! We were all huddled up in a corner of the front row, waiting it out. some would leave others would stay to hold the places. we waited about 6 hours that day, and some were there for like seven. We had to defend our turf several times, michelle would notice someone trying to squeeze in and one or more of us would take care of it. But we had the upper hand, we were not drunk as skunks in that heat! It truly was something I'll never forget. :) Ev get that video posted somehow!

Shouldn't you be able to upload the video just like a pic from your computer?
My kids have figured out how to take video on my camera so when I import pics it imported the video too.
Not quite sure, but it's a thought...hope this helps :)

Everything is good EV! It must be like.... 100 degrees here in So Cal right now! It's gorgeous! I didn't know how to deal with the cold weather when I went to Oregon... I WAS FREEZING!!!!!

You might want to try Google video... they have a desktop uploader for large files.
