They are so cute! I love how the boys inspire us! To write, to play music, to sing, to dance, to travel. Someone wrote in thier intro that the boys woke up something inside of her. I feel the same way, it's the best feeling ever! I hope they know how special they are. :) :) :)

DH walked in the door from work this evening, carrying the mail and a small package...addressed to me...from Florida.

Wha...?

I carefully opened the box to find a tag from Ev. My brain jumped to this thread. ("Oh, no she didn't," I muttered hopefully.)

Inside the box was another box. I opened that one, only to see two big brown ears pop over the edge, followed by two big black eyes and then twitching whiskers.

"Miko?!" I shouted.

"Hiya, Belle." He grinned real big and then asked, "So, where's the tortillas?"

He jumped out of the box, and while I was answering some private messages, I heard him get into the fridge. Needless to say, I had to get off the 'puter and see what he was up to.

With heaving muscles (well, for a mouse), he was furiously tugging on an unopened package of tortillas. Looking over his shoulder, he muttered, "Little help here, please."

Ahhhh, I think my life just got REAALLL interesting.

You are so WELCOME. I am so thrilled Miko is in a good home (his twin is with Cree too, as you know.)

It really was an unusual situation...when I was shopping at Crate & Barrell, I was just browsing. ALL OF A SUDDEN I heard my name "Amore". It was a little squeeky, but the voice said "Amore, come here." So I nervously went over to this bin where I heard the noise, and low and behold, there was a basket and peeking over was Miko & Lil. So Miko said "Save me & Lil now. We don't want to go home with anyone else. Please, you understand what "tortillas" mean to us. You know all about us. Please, please."

So of course, how could I turn away. But I was very much concerned because there were 2 Miko's and 1 Lil. Then I asked Miko "Where is the second Lil? I need her to make you two as a pair." Miko lowered his head with disappointment and said "Someone took the 2nd Lil. I tried to bite the "hand" but it was too quick for me. So my twin and the other Lil buried ourselves at the bottom of the basket just waiting. And finally I sensed a "REAL LOOPIE" in the store, so I burrowed myself up to the top of the basket and I saw you 'Amore". Boy, was I glad to see you. I know that my autobiography that 2 of my wonderful Loopie Friends, Belle and Cree, had mentioned you on how you protected 'The Boys', so I knew you were special and would save us."

Wow, I was thrilled that they remembered me. I did not hesitate to cuddle them in my hands and take them to the counter. The cashier was being a little rough with them that I had to ask her to be careful and handle them with care. At that time Lil wiggled a bit and
said "Oh thank you Miss Amore, you are so kind." Then Miko 'winked at me'.

So I took them home and told them they were going on a trip. I whispered to Miko & Lil that they were going to Brooksville to stay with Cree; and the other Miko (unfortunately by himself) was going to take a longer trip to live with Belle. OMG, I have never seen mice act like 'Mexican Jumping Beans'. It was amazing.

So the rest is history.

I just recently received two letters in the mail from my little friends saying they made it safely to Cree & Belle. Also they were VERY, VERY HAPPY with their new homes; and they wanted to thank me for my kindness. Oh, there was also a P.S. saying that I need to tell you two that they would like their living quarters the same way that 'The Boys' had for them; that is if it wasn't too much trouble. AND...they LOVE your frig!

So that is the story behind all of this. Now I am happy that I made Belle, Cree, Miko & Lil a happy family.

Merry Christmas to you all...and buy TORTILLAS.

Ev! Belle! OMG. Belle you're right...there'll be no living with Miko and Lil after this! Thanks for sharing your story with us Ev! And no you did not get carried away! Hope you're having fun on your trip Ev!

Well I am glad to hear it (that is my message wasn't too long).

I hope YOU & BELLE gave Miko x2 and Lil x1 a very Merry Christmas. Also, hopefully they did behave themselves. I think if you give them tortillas as often as they want, they will stay out of trouble.
