WOOHOO! BUCCANEERS ARE THE NFC CHAMPIONS!!GO BUCCANEERS!
My man Ronde Barber #20 took an interception. And Spurlock had the first ever kick-off return in Buccaneer history. They have broken their own curse! And it was brawl city in the first half. The Falcons had a rough week though.
37-3 Bucs over falcons.
 :) :p

The Jags are 10-4 and I still don't think they've gotten the playoff berth. Seems like with that kind of record they would already be there. Oh well, they went to Pittsburgh and beat the Steelers at home which the Steelers haven't been beaten at home this season. Fred Taylor, who still hasn't EVER gone to the Pro Bowl had over a hundred yards today. He has over 10,000 in his career too. Anyhoo, the Jags are playing awesome and I hope they keep that winning streak going!!
Congrats to the Bucs too Cree!! Got to root for those Florida teams!!! :D :D

Jacksonville doesn't have a play-off berth?? with that record? I know they are doing very well this season. Bucs are only 9-5. Dallas got their butts kicked tonight by Eagles.
Sometimes the NFL doesn't always work the way you think.

How do you like that John Lynch #47 on defense? Pretty cool guy huh? He's a former Buccaneer (not by choice). It was a devastating cut to us fans. We adore him.

If the Jags beat the Oakland Raiders at home this Sunday, I think they will have a playoff berth. Hope they play like they did against the Steelers. I think they didn't clinch a playoff berth because of the division they're in. They are in the same division as the Colts, which they beat the Jags so I think that is why the Jags haven't made it yet. It's weird how they do that.

Ugh, Sheryl. I see now. Who would want to be in the same division as the colts? The colts have been on fire the last couple of years. Well good luck to them (jags). But not too much luck. :p I want the bucs to win.

Yeah Steelers!!! :D 41-24 over the Rams! Wooooo! But it is quite sad that Willie Parker is likely out for the rest of the season with an ankle fracture. :( He's definitely one of the Steelers best players.
surferchk
12-21-2007, 08:13 PM
That is sad that he broke his ankle. He was going to the Pro Bowl too. Since he isn't going, Fred Taylor gets to go. I hate that he is going because another player got hurt though. I don't think that was the way he wanted to go to the Pro Bowl. Willie Parker was one of the first one's to come up to Fred Taylor after the game and give him a hug because he's having such a good year. I hate to see such a nice guy not being able to go to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl. Congrats to Fred though since he has never been in his 10 year career.

My guy is a Hardcore lifelong Raider Nation man. . . but I've only started watching football over the past two years because of him. Before that I was too busy and non of my friends were really into football.
I love Troy Palomaolo (Sp??) of the Steelers, and of course the Colts' Peyton Manning creates miracles with that arm. . .I'm still learning who's who, but since the Chargers are impressing the crap outta me (last weekend was awesome!) I think i'll stick with them, although the Pats are a hard foe to conquer. .

HAWKS SWOOP INTO GRANDFINAL
By Jason Phelan 9:52 PM Sat 20 September, 2008
HAWTHORN has stormed into the 2008 Toyota AFL Grand Final in emphatic fashion with a stunning 54–point demolition of St Kilda at the MCG on Saturday night.
After a hotly-contested start, the Hawks took the lead in the 15th minute and did not surrender it as they put on a polished display of hard-running football to prevail 18.10 (118) to 9.10 (64).
Hawthorn effectively decided the result with a devastating and prolonged assault that started midway through the first quarter and lasted until early in the third. In that period they kicked 13 goals to one to lead by 68 points.....

Bucs 27
Bears 24 - in OT!!
It was a killer day! The heart-attack kids were at it again! I have to say though, the last foul called that gave the bucs the winning field goal, was undeserved by the bears. One of the bucs players started the fight - well at least he threw the first punch. Goodness knows what kind of trash talk was going on before hand...but the punch was thrown by one of my least liked players...Jeremy Trueblood. He has a real attitude problem as far as i can see. Bucs did well the first half and then fell apart the 2nd half...but i was satisfied with the fact they actually went to overtime...somehow they pulled a win out of their a$$.  :)

Polamalu grabbed it and ran in for the touchdown. (They were only on the 10 yard line or so.) After reviewing it, the officials called the touchdown back because the one lateral didn't count. The cardinals kicked the Pelicans' A$$. My nephew called the Eagles the Pelicans!! :D Once again MCNabb was denied a trip to the superbowl....bwahahhahaha! And I SO wanted the Steelers to win over the Ravens!
And Da 'Bowl is here in TAMPA. Woot. :p
and OMG...GRUDEN, John "Chucky" Gruden is FIRED from the Bucs!! But I think the owners did the best thing possible and that is they promoted from within the team's coaches! I will sorely miss Monte Kiffen the head Defensive coach for the Bucs. He is a dynamite defensive coach, the best in the biz. He left to go work with his son and be closer to his family. :(

I apologize if this has been seen before (after all, it's from 2004), but I think this is hysterical......

Yeah, that would be nice if they showed half time shows. That would be sweet seeing LLB perfom on TV.

Indeed it would be.....not much chance of it here though.
Someone, an Aussie band, will be doing the honours today in Melbourne. It is Grand Final Day for the AFL (Aussie Rules) season. It's a great style of football. My team didn't make it this year. It's between the Geelong Cats and the St Kilda Saints. I'm hoping the Saints win for the first time in over 30 years. The Cats are stronger though I think.
Melbourne Storm (rugby league) are playing in the playoff tonight for a Grand Final berth next weekend. It is a rough style of football, they tackle so hard and there is great chance of serious injury. It's not my favourite sport. But my DIL is nuts about The Storm , so it will be great to watch the game with her.
and to see my sons. My middle son has taken up Shotokan Karate recently. He fought in his first tournament last weekend and he won! Came home with a big ole trophy which I'm looking forward to seeing.....but not as much as seeing him and his brothers :)
futbol...joga bolar, jogador.
GO THE STORM!

Woohooooo!
The Melbourne Storm won the 2009 Grand Final. As it turns out I got to watch the semi and grand final with my sons and DILs. Fun stuff.
This is our favourite Storm player Billy Slater. He is the nicest young man and a great athlete. He won the player of the match. That's our Bill :)
