Well, not a Texan, but I know it's gotta be beautiful because it's near New Braunsfels (in the "Hill Ciountry"), wedged halfway between Austin and San Antonio. I saw this, too, and thought I wonder if the timing (Memorial Day weekend) wil coincide with OBTR4??? Might have to save up for this one...Oh, and it's Canyon Lake, BTW.

My though exactly, I hope Our Boys schedule fills in more so there are shows around OTB4. I plan on not missing it this year. I look forward to meeting all the Texas La Onda.

Canyon Lake/New Braunfels - same difference - it's hill county and it is beautiful. I'm gonna stick my neck out on this one just because I know questions will come up. We have kinda been holding our breath since we heard about this a few months ago. We really were hoping that the date wouldn't be on Memorial Day weekend. The campground is ridiciously overcrowded and the intimate setting that ODR is accustomed to definitely won't happen. We're used to having the whole upper campgrounds to ourselves. There is alot to consider and a whole lot of planning that goes into ODR. We have already heard that flights are very expensive and hotels for that weekend are already booked. So with that being said - you may need to start your planning - like now. ODR is traditionally held the weekend before Memorial Day. Last year we were fortunate that Kevin switched the Stubbs and Corpus date so more people could be at the river on Saturday but still go to the special show on Friday. Anyway, we're laughing to keep from cryin'. And still hoping to meet whoever decides to make the trip to Big Texas!

Well, today, the Canyon Lake date has been taken off of Pollstar's list....don't know if that's official or not as far as our Boys' concert schedule, but maybe it means they're thinking about moving the date? (maybe there's hope not messing with ODR schedule after all...)

Maybe so, I haven't gotten a Pollstar update with this show listed and it wasn't there last night when I checked ... but the Tour Schedule has it listed as well as Reverbnation. Texas LaOnda will most probably start discussing ODR after the Holidays ..... HO HO HO!

We saw the amphitheatre they built last year (they were in the middle of it), and it look magnificent. . . our first words were "it would be great if the boys could play here during ODR".. .

I LOVE ODR, but it's because we get together as La ONda which is the main reason I've been going all these years. . It would be great to have a concert but I hope ODR stays as it has been, 3rd weekend every May :)

can't wait to see everyone!

I agree with you, Tasina. What it really means is that we all need a week's vacation in Texas!

Yes, a week's vacation in Tejas would be great--but even if you can't swing that, ODR is definitely worth going to without an LLB concert. Whatever is decided will be great, but I love the idea of familia getting together as one for a weekend of fun! We hope to make it to ODR 4 this year, whenever it will be!

I've always wanted to explore Texas so a week there will be a good thing! Who knows as the schedule fills in maybe we will have more than one show in that week.

I want to make some accomodation reservations now any suggestions I want to be as close to the ODR site as possible but still be in a nice place.

Although it is still a bit early, I'm hoping that a decision will be made soon as to whether ODR4 will be held the 3rd weekend of May or on Memorial Day weekend. Even though the boys are playing on Memorial Day weekend, my vote for ODR4 is still for the 3rd weekend in May--Memorial Day weekend is just too crazy to have ODR4 . Those who want to attend the concert on Memorial Day weekend are welcome, but I don't think it shoud be tied to ODR4. Just my 2 cents....And, although it is a bit early, I'm hoping a final decision will made soon so that those of us coming from out of town can make our plane and motel reservations soon.... No pressure.... :D

I, too am considering going to Texas. I would really like to go to a show during the same trip. Anyone know what is the closest airport? Any good hotels? LMK, Thanks in advance, Rosie

I didn't realize the concert is/was scheduled for Memorial Weekend. If ODR 4 is set for same weekend; from what VelvetSky says, it will be crowded.
Texas Onda, I appreciate all the work you put into planning for ODR and all the time spent. I will check back and see what's up.

I think it would be great to see the BOYS while in Texas. Stubbs was a great concert, tied in with trip to ODR, but then missed Friday at the campground.
A Sunday evening concert would be great, I think. Most people leave ODR on Sunday. It was also great to be at a LLB concert with other La Onda members from many areas. I am not sure if I can go this year, but it was great and recommend it to anyone thinking of going. BUT, if LLB is playing nearby, I may think again about this.

Good to see that y'all are interested in visiting Texas. Again, sticking my neck out by saying that choosing the airport/city you decide to fly into really depends on what you plan to do while in Texas. We do have hotel/motel recommendations for the New Bransfels area too. Since I stay on the campgrounds - I honestly don't know which hotel/motels they are. We use 2 close to the Interstate and about 10 miles from the campground. It's really is too early for us to begin thinking about ODR - I'm just letting you know what has been tradition and we are doing out best to stick to that philosophy.

In case you didn't see it, tickets for the Whitewater Sports concert on 5/25 go on sale on 2/1 at 11 am TX time. Look under "Ticketing" for more info.

I talked to Gigi. Tickets go on sale on Friday, February 1st. at 11:00AM EST. That means that Texas time, it will be 10:00 AM. I have asked that they tell us in the future what time zone they are using. Seeing two is confusing.
