La Onda Cruise

Unfortunately, we did not transfer the list of names we had collected for INTEREST IN A CRUISE WITH LOS LONELY BOYS from the old forum. (I bad!) So, if you would be so kind, please start the list again here. We STILL need to let management know how many might be interested IF it materializes. Last we heard from Laurie (and she'll jump in here soon) was that Kevin was giving it serious consideration and would talk to the Boys. This might not happen until late 2008?, 2009, or ??? Doesn't matter! If we have a chance, we have to give it a try!! I do remember that the two highest picks for where we might want to go was the Mexican Riviera or the US Virgin Islands. We'll do a poll also on that, but please, for now, just get your names on here! THANKYOU!!

Excellent idea! We should email Scott again requesting LLB be added to the lineup for the Blues Cruise in Sept. 2008--it would be great to see LLB & Los Lobos together.

Laurie, I believe Roger made a run at them for October and things just didn't synch up for October.
He's working on the January 09 Caribbean now...


We have one more headliner to announce for October that is going to really shoot this lineup
thru the roof. Keep in touch, we'll get them on the ship soon!

You are right, Margie! Since the Boys won't be on this cruise, I will be going on a 7- day Mexican Riviera cruise anyway the end of September, but for only $500 plus taxes and fees.

If anyone is interested in going (I believe I had posted this prior to the Onda Cruise), please let me know and I can put you in touch with my travel agent. It departs from Southern California (not sure if Los Angeles or San Diego). You only need to put 50% down as a deposit and the remainder is due in the summer.

This might be another good way for us to spend time together and enjoy some R & R. :)

Its gonna be a great cruise, I think its the maiden voyage of a new ship that is maxed out, to the max! But I'm not going on it if the boys arent there. I know they are great cruises with alot of fun, but the point was a cruise with los lonely boys! Lets try to keep this dream alive ladies! :) :)

Laurie, welcome back! I know you just joined us once again. I'm excited that you booked the Bluescruise as there will be many good acts, but I hope it wasn't for LLB. I just want to let you know that the boys have not been booked and not really sure they will be.

Like the ladies, said, we need to keep this dream alive and hope they do get booked, but from what I can see, I don't think this is going to happen. I haven't had any word back from Kevin regarding this cruise.

On a different note, I'll be going on a Mexico cruise at the end of September. I can hardly wait!!

I really love the blues; have also been waiting to see if LLB will be on the list of entertainers. Anxious to go on one of these Blues Cruises;
I almost signed up for the one in Oct. 08 even though LLB not one of the artists. Have been thinking of signing up for the Jan 09 Blues Cruise; maybe put money down now, sounds like cabins are going fast. Thanks for the Heads Up.

If they do decide to do it, of course, I'm in. That list was made a long time ago, I think if they needed to know how many people were interested, they have. The only problem is, these cruises book so fast, by the time we know if the boys are going to do it, it might be too late. So those of you who are booking now, it will be a great cruise. Those who are waiting, we are taking our chances. I still hope our dream comes true! Otherwise, I'm going to enjoy the shows this year, and put my time and money towards that, since its a sure thing.

Found this old post. LLB will not be on the upcoming BluesCruise, but a couple of Fans have signed up for the Jan. 2009 Blues Cruise anyway, sounded so tempting.

i would love to cruise with LLB. if there's ever a time during school breaks (december, march, june-late august), those times would be best for me. also, leaving from california would be preferred.

perhaps there should be an east coast and a west coast event for those of us who are not so loaded! ;) i've taken one 3-day cruise to ensenada and that was fun. even better was the 7-day (or was it 10-day?) mexican riviera cruise which went all the way down to cabo and then back up into the sea of cortez.

so on that note the bluescruise in october looks to be a BLAST!!! those of you going on that should have a lot of fun! i particularly like the fabulous thunderbirds at the same blues festival i saw stevie ray vaughan and i like elvin bishop's new song ... i think it's something like "chasing watermelons"??!!

but back to the point, yes, i'd love a cruise with LLB!!!

They only (might change someday???) do the BluesCruise twice a year.
January cruise leaves from Florida to the Caribbean and October from

Anyway - it would be even better if LLB were one of the Bands. The Best 2009 New Years news would be BCruise announcing The Boys were a Special Guest on the Jan 09 cruise - What a dreamer!!!! Anyway, I am still excited about this cruise. 20+ bands and 70+ concerts.
