Ronnie (EEVLways), Tasina's Ronnie, lost his grandma this morning. He has his brother with him, so they may comfort each other. Tasina asked that we keep Ronnie and his family in our prayers.......Prayers ascending.

Wow, I just now saw this thread. Haven't been on here much. it's been quite a December and we are looking forward to a better 2008. . .

Thank you Ruth for everything. . for posting this, for the xmas card, phone call when I was onda road this past few weeks. .

Cree, Amore, Mel, laurieboop, shashavicj for your beautiful cards .

DJ, Heather, Bobbie V, & Vero for the gifts. .

Debi & Laurie for the text cards. . Sarah and Deb *you know I love you two so much! for the myspace messages. . .

and all of you for your wishes here.

Ronnie's grandma's passing is very hard on the whole family and we're taking time to grieve together. . soon after that my 20 yr. old nephew was killed in a car wreck (police chase/innocent bystander), then my Uncle Floyd Red Crow Westerman passed on, which I flew back to South Dakota (Indian Country for), and then while I was there, my cousin, a young father passed on also . .

lots of funerals, lots of grief. .

upon returning home, Ronnie got a bad stomach flu virus, which I then caught. . so it's been physically rough. . today we are seeing the light of day. . but that's why we've been absent from here and everywhere else lately. .

In the sorrow, there are so many amazing things. . .

. . being able to see many many old friends that grew up together in AIM, lots of family and friends coming together in South Dakota. . feeling the bitter cold all the way through my bones, and seeing the beautiful SLEEP that Unci Maka (Grandmother Earth) is receiving with this frigid white blanket of snow and ice. . giving her a rest, and supplying her with moisture for the drier months ahead.
And my beautiful grand babies. . Angeleena (5 yrs) and Theodore (3 months) are very precious as is the time with my son Akicita and his wife Dione. . there next to the He Sapa (Great Black Hills). .

And what I didnt' know I be would home for the Lakota Nation Invitational (LNI) which is where all the reservation high schools of South Dakota come together to compete. .so Lakotas are everywhere! and I get to see my nephew play basketball, as well as my lil brother coach. . every family is involved so it's truly a reunion of the nations. .

As I was driving down the road, singing and crying to "ORALE" by Los Lonely Boys and every other song by them, KT Tunstall, FLOYD, and Pride and Joy. . I say thank you for this beautiful life. . .and for the many blessings.

Here at home now with my sweet wondaful Ronnie, we have my two oldest grandsons with us, nesting in the cave here, eating popcorn, making french toast, and watching DVDs, playing video games. . . life is very sweet. .

and just so you know that we still feel like the luckiest people alive. . check out this video. . Each year we have our own private christmas, opening a few presents that we save just for each other.

If you listen you can hear ronnie laughing. . although you can only see me. Hope it makes you laugh. . although maybe it's just us. .lol

Thank you again!
