We arrived at the Inn of the Mountain Gods at about 3:00 p.m.,

The view from our room.

Chiqui and I checked out the venue and the techs were doing sound check but we didn’t see the boys there. We got to the venue early to meet up with LaOnda, Bobbie V., Kathy and her daughter and Vicki and her family.

The Garza nephews and other familia were at the show.

There was no opening band and Papa Garza was not there, so we got about 85 minutes of Los Lonely Boys at their best.

Henry was on fire with his guitar playing and singing.

Jojo was in his best form also, looking so cute and happy.

Ringo look great and sounded even better, if that is possible. I feel lucky to have gotten a few pics of him.

The sound was huge…deafening at times yet the music sounded so good as the boys performed song after song. Cottonfields and Crossroads sounded awesome and a special treat for me to hear the song live for the first time.

Hey Paula, I thought for sure you and your family would be there. It was a great show with Henry really going all out on his guitars. The swag, Lonely Charms, got taken to the bus with the gifts I gave the boys and I didn't get it back. Certainly the boys have given it out to their onda in San Angelo and Austin. Next Sandia show I'll try to give out the swag early so I don't do that again. Hope to see you at a show next year. :)

Yeah, it was a misconception many had about my location..lol.It would seem to some that I would go because its closer but truth be told, it is farther away from here than Albuquerque or El Paso. As a matter of fact, El Paso is even closer than Albuquerque. But anyways, things were pretty crazy down here at the time which prevented me from leaving. My best friend was dealing with some emotional problems and it wasn't a good time to leave home without making sure he got some help first. But I am so totally glad you guys had a good time. Its good to see that the boys are trying to make it down here more often. New Mexico sure loves them to pieces. :)
