I just paid a $125 traffic citation, that I received in the mail last week due to a camera enforced light. I was going to send in the request to contest the ticket...but i found a web link on the back that i could visit to see the video...I invited my co-worker to watch with me at work....let's just say I wrote out that check quicker than you can shake a stick. My co-worker was dying laughing 'cause we both watched 'ol lead-foot Cree zoom around the corner on two wheels...I was making a right turn and soooooo ignored that red light. Well I really didn't ignore it, I did more a 'yield' than a stop.
*sigh...guess I'll have to do my best to empty the lead out of my shoes before going to work in the AM from now on... But it's so hard with my vroom vroom impala. It rocks my road! ;):D
OMG... I just saw this post - AAHHH! And I let you drive me around. Girl, no lead in your flip-flops the next time around. I don't have bail money and I don't think you would want me to drive 'your Impala' - do you?

Girls girls GIRLS!!!
I was going to tell you a stories about my dad, the prolonged wet weather we've had, how I got my car bogged up to it's axles on our driveway on the weekend. I feel better now, hub's just got back from helping our neighbour get his car out of the bog and his driveway is much much shorter than ours.
Hub stayed up last night to watch a documentary about guitars. He just said to me "guess who was the first person they interviewed? HENRY GARZA!!!"
well he didn't shout it with exclamation marks....but I sure did!!!!
And then I said "awwwwwwwwwshhhhh...ucks, I missed it."
Bless his wet socks, he taped it...more exclamation marks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh happy day....even if it is still ****well raining.
Henry on my TV ....and all my g'friends TV's when I visit them, especially the one with the giant TV.

I love, love, looooove their names. My son goes by AZEskimo and a friend calls him Mojo.... sooooo EskyMojo cracks me up. When I use to be a CB'r back in the day, I was the IrishRose, until someone freaked out on me... I used the nick for ages... like 3 years. So I changed to Alasknrose and eventually Alasknmom LOL.
These pups are just tooooooo cute!!!
Isn't he gorgeous?
I've kept the two black and white ones. Mohawk EskyMojo "Mo" and
The Wild Irish Rose "Rosie". They are so much fun. Their mother is being spayed today. She's earned a rest.
Long weekend in Australia. Sun is shining.
I have so much catching up to do.

Kid Rock kicks butt in concert!! If you're a kid rock fan, please! Treat yourself! He is very pro-military and he is such a straight from the heart guy! He took like 5 mins to thank us all for coming out to see him during these economic times. I have truly never seen the Ford Amphitheatre in Tampa FL so packed! And it rained....which turned the parking lot into a redneck dreamland....don't worry, 'ol Cree was tromping thru the mud puddles just like everybody else. Thank goodness I wore capris!
A lot of girls were like, "Ew! Ew! Ew!" "OMG, there's mud!" Seriously? Gag me. I took off my flip flops and showed 'em how to wade...;) :D
Kid Rock was awesome and believe it or not...G-Rated (except for the f-bombs in some of his songs). This concert is now in the top 3 of the concerts I've been to!

Sounds like the latest LLB news is being Twittered. Might have to investigate joining that website. The internet is amazing ( so is Bono's coat) U2's tour of Europe and the USA has just begun and it's already on-line.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9T8oTYhil-Y.
Lord keep 'em safe on this tour. They are no spring chickens any more, Bono tends to get slightly carried away. Don't wanna break a hip old boy falling off the stage ;) Wish I could be at their Dublin shows.

Hope you enjoyed your National Day. Does Willie Nelson still host a 4th July picnic?
My youngest DIL's little sister is working at a camp near Seattle at the moment. Sadly their family dog BJ the Saint Bernard died early July 4th, big gentle giant that he was. She is homesick already, she'll crack up when she hears about Beej. They decided not to tell her yet. Let her enjoy the festivities in the USA
.
It's my wedding anniversary today. Hub is on school holidays at the moment and it's tax time in Oz, so we are off to see the accountant. Wooopeee. We were going to have lunch in town afterwards, but I've got a recurrence of the flu so I'll take a raincheck. My tastebuds are shot.
Cree, I am keeping Mo and Rosie. They are an integral part of my chihuahua blanket...whenever I sit down I have 2 fighting for my lap and 2 sit on my shoulders. They do keep you nice and warm.

It's rainin something fierce here...liquid sunshine! One of my poems is being published in some little gazette out of nowhere New York and the editor (she was on Writer's Cafe Belle) is editing my piece. It's giving me an eye twitch. I had to make some 'renovations' to it. Though I appreciate constructive criticism...sometimes it's hard to swallow. As it turns out....I'm not perfect after all.

I love a wedding **throws rice**. My youngest and eldest son both want to get married soon **faints**. They are both home this weekend **love** I have 8 dogs in the house **madness**.
My eldest was home for a bucks party. Not back yet. They were going to play Skirmish and do a pub crawl on the way home. Made me sad to think one of his mates had his right arm torn off in a motorbike accident last Boxing Day. His right leg was mangled too but the doctors saved that. He can't play Skirmish but said he'd go along for the bus ride. A split second can change a life. Got to enjoy it while you can.
Do you call it Skirmish in the USA? Maybe Paint ball?
I bet they had fun...and got drunk. God love them all.
It's freezing cold here....suppose you are all basking in the warm sun.
ekkkkk Fudge just stuck something on my lap, gave me a fright. It's the puppies tennis ball with attached furry tail. Thought it was a rat for a minute there

The wedding was fabuloso!! I got lots of great shots! It was such a happy day! I loved seeing my Sam so happy. His wife is perfect for him! I can't wait to get their little album together for them.
But of course you get high on life and a little 4 yr old has to bring you right back down to earth. Today was Dad's B-day so I threw some chicken on the grill for the family....you know you can't have a BBQ w/out flies, right?
My little niece and I were sharing a table and of course two little flies were getting on her nerves, so therein she struck up a conversation about flies.
Do flies have Mommies and Daddies?
I suppose so.
Well why aren't they with their Mommies and Daddies?
Well. I think their Moms and Dads don't hang around too long. More like they just lay eggs like a chicken and then the babies have to grow up on their own. (and yes I really did tell her this)
(she just looked at me here. I don't think she comprehended the idea of babies growing up on their own)
Well, they must send their babies here to eat OUR food. I don't like it.
This was also one of those moments when I wasn't sure I could continue eating my dinner.

How about I trip over Cree's cymbals as I come in? WHOOPS! *crash BANG ring * I've just been outside today, enjoying our unusual mid-July weather. 70 degrees! and NO humidity!! Cleaning out my bro's garage (yes, we are STILL at it!).....Funny story: a lady from his building told me that after my son and I left last weekend (we had filled up an entire dumpster FULL of junk), a man from the complex spent the next 4 hours IN the dumpster going through stuff! She said she couldn't believe it....I said, 'I could'. We've put stuff out with "FREE" on it and welcomed people to go through stuff and take what they want, but they won't touch it until it's in the dumpster.

It's been a while, but I've got a Dixie story for you. Yesterday, she had to get her first ever annual shots. (I can't believe we've had her a year now.) Anyway, in getting her ready, my DH realized she'd outgrown her halter, so he borrowed one of the other dog's to take her to the vet. I thought it took him an awfully long time to get back home.
After the vet, he took Dixie to PetSmart and they went "clothes" shopping for a new halter. Apparently she went into the store and tried on a few before they chose a red one to match her red collar. (And he says I spoil her! Hmmph!) :p

Aww. You've had your lil Dixie-Doo a year?? Unbelievable!! How was everyone's weekend?? I went to the beach, but we had to do a rain prayer to make the rain go away....it worked!! Wanted to squeeze in a little extra tan time before driving to Biloxi Thursday! And you know what I realized?? September is my 10 yr anniversary at work! Who knew I could get so old?? But I get THREE weeks of vacay...count 'em - 1, 2, 3 - starting in January!! WOO HOO!!

Might I suggest lime green? I was just watching U2 on U2ube. My Brasilian friend is living her dream and is travelling around Ireland at the moment. I was trying to spot her in the huge crowd when U2 played in Dublin. The woman wearing a lime green top sure stood out amongst all the others in dark clothes :D
I was also just watching some LLB on youtube :)

Now there's a funny thing. My youngest son will be 21 in November. He's asked for a guitar as a gift but can't decide what type. He thinks maybe nylon string classical. I'm hopefully visiting him this weekend and told him I'd loan him my old nylon stringed Yamaha to get the feel of it. He says he didn't know I had one.
There he is playing it in my avatar over there. 'twas a long time ago, he's forgotten. He was such a tall gangly kid for his age. I love that photo. Gusto my now departed big dog is in it too.....ahhh the old days.

Hi Belle, kinda quiet around here. I have been out of touch for a week since I was enjoying my family reunion last week. All eleven of my siblings were here and we had lots of fun at the lake and cooking meals for 40 or so people. Nothing like familia, right?
Hope to see more fans here. Ev and Cree are due for reviews of the Biloxi show. Can't wait to hear about their adventure. :)

Hi, Rita. Glad you had such a good time.
Well, gang, I've been coming to this conclusion for a long, long time. I don't think I'll be making daily posts to the Bistro. :( It just doesn't seem to be worth it, as so few people drop by anymore. Of course, the entire site has been barely active for a while. I'm still here and hope things pick up. The Boys are playing their hearts out and are in the studio working on their new CD. Maybe that will turn things around.

OK Belle, just dropped by here and saw your comment. First, Cass, that was a great idea...too bad I didn't read it before I left to Biloxi. Secondly, Belle, you KNOW I have my 'own way' of being noticed - but I'm not telling. ;)
And as for Cree - she may seem to have a very sweet smile, but travel with her for 4 days, and you may think twice. I should have painted her 'GREEN'. LOL :D As for twittering, ask her about that since she has a Blackberry, not me. She might have some 'plaining' on how she is on top of every minute (day or night, driving or not). But I not saying anything. I guess she is just very talented. (???)
BTW, I understand your feelings about this thread; but I am on a DIET - tee hee.

I think if we just consider this a 'virtual hangout'--a place to chat--and if folks want to put on a spread or an impromptu party, they can. Like, remember the spontaneous baby shower a couple years back? Personally, I think the daily menus are just a treat for us, but work for you, and not necessary. JMHO.

I can understand how you feel Belle. All your effort over the years (yes it's been years!!) at the Bistro is deeply appreciated. I was wondering how you were doing it, coming up with menus all the time. I have trouble facing the real task of cooking at times ( well I love the prep and cooking...hate the washing up). I think we know the Bistro is always open, stocked with goodies and that we can help ourselves.
The weather's warming up here, Spring has definitely Sprung. Might go for a swim in the lake. Now who might have a towel I can borrow? Ahh....Ev ;)
Are you prepared to part with it? I read about your "Henry towel"
I once accepted a guitar strap from a guitarist in a band that I adored. His singer said "ewww, why would you want that old sweat soaked thing?"
We know don't we gals?
Glad you had such a fine time on the road and that you returned home safely.
Taking Mo and Rosie to their first session of puppy preschool this evening. Hope we don't get expelled.

OMG!! I need help!! Who knows a lot about daschunds?? We took in a 1 yr old from my aunt & Uncle and he is super timid. Practically petrified of everything. He is a long hair black/tan, absolutely beautiful. We have named him Bandit. He has barely moved, except to sleep under my feet or in my arms, except today he took off like a shot from our front deck and ran around the back yard. I was like OMG, he's aliiiive! Any helpful ideas? My Aunt said he was the most timid out of the bunch and boy is he ever!! He seems to be coming around, but on the downside he still has not taken a bite of food or drink of water! My Aunt says not to worry, he will eat when he's hungry, but I am not so certain. There is talk in la familia of force-feeding but I've told mi familia NO. I'm too afraid of terrifying him even more. As a family we've always gravitated toward the rambunctious ones, so this a first and we're kind of at a loss. Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated!
I love my weiner dog! He loves to be held and cuddled but the second we put him down he just stays still like a rock or something. At least his shaking has stopped, but omg...God please help me! :(

Belle is right, Cree -- especially the "refusing to drink" part. Vet! My aunt raised dachshunds, so I grew up around them. You would not associate the words "timid" or "shy" with this breed. Just the opposite! Loving and loyal, but fierce and stupidly brave (they will take on a dog twice their size!). I remember she always told me that if they are shy, it's because they weren't socialized as puppies.

Oh this one is very socialized. We separated him from his entire pack; his dad, his brother, his mother, some other ones which I think are cousins. His brother was yowling for him when we took him away. I think that's his problem. He is alone now, with a cat. My cat is doing amazingly well with him so far. And this morning Bandit was actually happy when I took him out. and then he followed me around the house when I was getting ready for work! So I think he is starting to feel more at home. I'm beginning to think he's having severe separation anxiety. I can't wait to get home from work to him. :)

Also, thanks to Ms. Ruth, I've signed up on Facebook and am trying to decide if I should try advertising with them. I've got to look into it some more, but it might work...especially with "Latin Lover" being recorded and my next book coming out in a few months.

great job on the sales Belle! I hope Facebook works out for you. And our Bandit is eating and drinking! Yay. Thanks for clarifying Ruth! And you are right, I think the human socializing was minimal considering my aunt and uncle breed and sell the daschunds. Medically they take great care of the puppies, but I also think they purposely don't get too attached as I always got the impression that the pups sell quickly. This year was an exception considering the economy.
Anyway he is coming 'round! Slow but sure. He's boo-tiful!

I set up an account on CD Baby so people can listen and/or buy it as a download when it's ready. Ant is going for the final mix a week from today and will have it on their site then. I can't get the Loco Lobo book cover finished until I have the CD Baby url for the song to put on it. (It's all woven together.)

Cree - funny you should ask. I've been talking with Ant today about it.
I set up an account on CD Baby so people can listen and/or buy it as a download when it's ready. Ant is going for the final mix a week from today and will have it on their site then. I can't get the Loco Lobo book cover finished until I have the CD Baby url for the song to put on it. (It's all woven together.)
So, I hurry up and wait. Ain't that the way it goes, though? :D:rolleyes:
tell Ant I said giddy-up. :p;)

It's okay, Cree. I did the same thing....It's especially meaningful when you have someone over there, or know of someone. They're ALL equally important and courageous in their roles over there -- men and women. But just like anything in life, it makes it more 'real' somehow when you know someone.

Hey, gang. Belle here on hi-speed. Love, love, love this!
I have a Dixie story for ya. Saturday, we dog-sat for our neighbor's 7 mo. old puppy, Lassie. She is part Grey hound and part bull mastiff, so she has an aggressive personality, though she is very sweet and loving.
Anyway, she had a bad habit of stealing Dixie's red ball (which Daddy throw for Dixie whenever she asks). Dixie couldn't get the ball away from Lassie, sooo... she got her rope and walked by Lassie with it dangling from her mouth. She laid it down beside Lassie and glanced away. Lassie grabbed it and ran off, so Dixie picked up her red ball and brought it to Daddy to continue their game of 'throw it'.
Half an hour later, Lassie was watching them play, so she stole the ball again and laid down, holding it in her mouth. Dixie picked up the rope, but THIS time, she walked behind the couch with it. Lassie jumped up and followed her. We heard a bit of rustling, then Dixie walked out from the other side of the couch without the rope and picked up her ball, leaving Lassie where she couldn't see the game.
I'm not kidding. It really happened! :D That dog of mine is getting spooky smart!

mornin' musiclovers. The Spring weather has been superb here lately. So much growth in the garden it's a joy to behold. We took the puppies for a picnic yesterday. Their first encounter with the beach and the ocean. They LOVED it! They were so funny to watch racing around and covered in sand. Here's a pic of Rosie's first glimpse of the water.

I'm taking them to the vet in 20 minutes time. They are both being desexed today. I'll be glad when I get then home safe and well.
Belle there was a blue heeler just up the beach from us. It chased a ball into the water non-stop for the whole time we were there. Energetic dogs.

"M****l of Omaha's Wild Kingdom" that used to be on TV every week??? Well, that place really exists (not the wild kingdom part, well maybe) but it is at the heart of business in Omaha, Nebraska! I haven't been down there for over 30 years and I guess a lot has changed....Example, it is its own little city: houses a bank, FIVE restaurants, a convenience store, a complete gym, a hair salon, and a dry cleaners -- all on the premises. Hiya, Steph! Glad to see you drop in.
I've got another Dixie story for you guys. DH's routine when he gets home every evening includes going out to the backyard with the dogs. They check the garden, the pond, walk the fence, and he and Dixie play a game of ball. The dogs have their own dog door in the sunroom and come and go at will.
Yesterday, when DH got home and headed out to the backyard, Dixie ran ahead of him. He stopped in the sun room for a moment. When he didn't come out, Dixie poked just her head through the dog door and YIPPED. (It was so loud and piercing, I thought someone had stepped on her.) But, no, she was fine...just telling Daddy to HURRY UP! (And he thought his wife was bossy. :p)

I don't have any dogs, but we do a lot of dogsitting. We had a little shih tzu last week, and after I got home from work one day, I went to let him out back. I was really not that thrilled about going, but I have to say they were kickin'. They are really seasoned performers, been around a long time. They used lasers and pyrotechnics (not loud stuff just cool flame colors) and they know how to do it without taking away from their songs (& annoying you). Well there was lots of slamdancing, tons of headbanging and crowd surfing - LOTS of crowd surfing. Lamb of God opened for them (have no idea who the hell they are) and that band had this really awesome old guy - he must have been 75 or 80 I swear!- and he was tearing his guitar UP! I have to say I would go back to see Metallica in a second! They are really awesome performers.

Wow Cree, sounds like fun!
I did the movies over the weekend...saw UP with my twin girls and then took my son to see Transformers but I wanted to see The Proposal and he agreed to watch with me...surprised me, wanted to do that movie with mom...he's a big teenager now, just turned 13!
Both were great movies.
I won tixs to see Flo-rida on Oct. 18. Probably taking my son to that one. Should be interesting :p

FRIDAY MORNING
Yahoo! It's Friii-daaayy. :D I think we're closing on a property deal today. I'll be glad to have that finished! Also, Ant asked me to write to an entertainment editor who covers his neck of the woods about "Latin Lover" and Nightwolf. I did that last night and hope it works. It'd be great to get a little publicity for them.

Wow things can happen so suddenly. Xena my 10 year old staffordshire started to sicken yesterday and she died in the early hours of this morning. I rescued her from the dog pound 4 years ago. She had a heart of gold, full of love.
Here's a pic I put up when it was Jojo's birthday.

Here she is again in photobucket. I used her for Steph's birthday :)

Don't be sad girls, well maybe just a bit. She had a terrific life here with us.
RIP my brown eyed girl.

MONDAY MORNING
Welcome to a new week, y'all.
Cass, sorry to hear about your baby. :(
On a more cheerful note, I have another Dixie adventure. Yesterday afternoon, a beagle wandered into our yard. DH brought him inside and checked his collar. His name, address and phone number were on it, so DH called and left a message that we had their dog. (Chief had walked a mile to get to our yard.)
The family's last name is Justice. They named their dog Chief. Chief Justice. Too funny! Anyway, Chief isn't a year old yet and doesn't live with any other dogs. So...when he found our three - Dixie especially - he went into overdrive and those two chased each other around the love seat, down the hall, through the kitchen, around the backyard, back into the kitchen, zipped around the den and back outside again. This went on for an hour until Chief's daddy came to get him.
Dixie took a nap. :p
Breakfast:
cheese omelet
tortillas
fresh peaches

Christmas commercials? Already? I've been seeing lots of previews for scary movies. I'm not a fan.
I'm really looking forward to this weekend. It's our annual trip to Presque Isle Winery up near Erie. It's so nice seeing all the beautiful fall colors.

Hey, y'all. It's a brand new week. :D The Boys had a night off last night. Hope they did something fun. I'm loving the 1969 CD. It's too short, though. I want about ten more songs (not greedy at all, am I? :p)
DH and I have decided to update our master bathroom. It's needed to be done since we moved in here over 13 years ago. Unfortunately, the prices aren't 13 year-ago dollars. I've been pricing tile and sinks.
Oh, well. It's an adventure anyway.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Hello,
Does anyone know if all the shows in CA in Feb. are going to be acoustic sets? I am huge but just not the same when not full powered to me thank you as I have found out the show in Solana Beach is acoustic.
Belle
10-23-2009, 03:56 PM
Hi. Their whole tour is acoustic this time around. You'll probably have to wait if you want the full-on electric version.
Welcome to the Bistro - by the way.

SATURDAY MORNING
*yawn* *stumbles through the Bistro and clicks on kitchen light*
Coffee. I need coffee.
So, what's everybody got planned for today? Getting chores done? Groceries? Finishing your yard decor for Halloween?
We've got a contractor coming in later this morning to give us an estimate on taking out the old galvanized tub in our bathroom. Remember the popular avocado green back in the day? Yeah, it's that color.
I know Nightwolf has a concert at noon in California. Hope it's good weather for them. Here in north Tejas, it's a chilly fall morning. My favorite kind.
Oh, yesterday I made motel reservations for Nov. 6th show in Austin. I googled the venue location and then looked for motels close by. I found one, but it's NOT cheap. I don't care. I only do this once a year or so, and I'm finally getting Denise to see LLB live. As the commercial says - that's priceless.
Have a good one, y'all!
Breakfast:
scrambled egg and sausage burrito
fresh plums

SUNDAY MORNING
One day left of the weekend. Hope you get to spend some of it chilling w/some good tunes (*cough* 1969 *cough*). Speaking of good tunes, sounds like Nightwolf had a really good time yesterday. I'm looking forward to the photos Ant said he'd post.
Oh, that bathroom contractor came by and, after explaining to my husband about our ancient house and the need to watch out for asbestos and lead based paint and taking down all the tile work, the estimate came to....
(drum roll please).....
$10,000. > > > > > > > > thud

Belle
10-25-2009, 02:15 PM
Rita - we've gone the DIY route before - several times. It depends on what you want to save. $$$ or your marriage. :p Plus, I think it's the hazard material containment that's pulling in the big money. Just the filters alone cost $500.

Oh Ms. Belle, you are too funny!!!
Had a nice dinner and hubby bought me 1969 CD!! Well, okay...so I drove us to Best Buy and told him we were picking up my anniversary present I had on hold. Low and behold there was a BIG flat screen TV sitting there, (not ours) the look on his face was priceless!!! LOL
Good luck with your bathroom project. I know what you mean with DIY, seems to always take 4x the time and living in hard hat area...that's brutal on a marriage! :p
OH, and can't wait to meet you in Austin!

I wish I could win the lottery and build a whole new house....in the next 3 weeks.
My youngest son's girlfriend just sent out the invitations for his 21st birthday party. "A night of Mayhem 6 pm -10 am. True to his roots, the theme will be hippy/60s/70s. Dress up n feel the love..."
10 am! I'm doing breakfast too? and where are they all going to sleep...are they going to sleep? Oh well, he's my baby. The last chance to put on a slap up fiesta....until the weddings
**buys lottery ticket** and what does she mean "true to his roots"?
Moi? a hippy? just 'cause we don't have electricity ;)
God love you all girls. I hope life is treating you well...can't believe we are almost through another year...time flies when you're listening to Los Lonely Boys

Cass - sounds like you're in it now! Have fun surviving your roots. :D
I signed up with "Operation EBook Drop", a group of authors who donate their eBooks for free to deployed military. It's a brand new group just getting organized, and I signed up late Monday night. I was sent a list of soldiers who want reading material, so I emailed them the coupon code to get a free copy. Today, when I woke up, I discovered I'd "sold" 8 copies already! That put a BIG ol' smile on my face!
If you know of any soldiers who are or will be deployed, please let me know and I'll tell them who to contact if they want in on this project. They don't have to have a special reader like Kindle. The way it's set up, they can download the book in any format they want.

Ruth Ruth Ruth dear-hearted generous Ruth. Thank you , gracias, obrigado,
Thank You very very much.
I received a parcel yesterday from the USA, from Ruth. The "1969" CD.
You are so kind to be keeping this faraway loopie in the loop.
I think, I'm gonna try, to save the first listening of the new songs until my son's 21st party. After the food is served, after the cake is cut, when mum can relax. Poor a glass of champers, put on the CD and TURN IT UP....LOUD!
We'll see. I might cave in and listen to it before then, but I want to keep it for that special moment.
And the wrist bands are way cool. I'm up before dawn here lately and I've just found out they glow in the dark :D They will be handy if my son decides to take his friends on a drunken midnight bush walk like he did at his 18th birthday party. Help me find them if they get lost ;)
Oh wow, I'm so lucky, you're so kind.

Cree - I sent you a pm. Sorry your work is so lousy.
I hurt my leg today in a muscle that was already really sore. Now instead of just grimacing, I gasp...move slowly...gasp some more. It'll get better with time, but looks like I'll be going to Austin in a wheelchair Friday. How fun is that?
However, the need to dance might just be a cure-all. :D

I'm back home from the grand adventure. Denise (who I went with) loves LLB. I knew she would.
Goodness, all the people I finally got to meet - Amy and Cindy and Vicki and Bela and Whitaker and Ora and... I'm forgetting some, so I'll quit. I had a blast handing out those bumper stickers. They went like hotcakes! Jeanette was in line (though I didn't see her) and her friend said, "Look what I just got" and showed her the bumper sticker. Jeanette grinned, "Belle's here!"
After the show, my wheelchair couldn't make it over the grass and La Onda was gathering for a group photo at the other end of the garden. I was talking with Tasina when someone came to get us. I told them to explain that I couldn't make it. A few moments later, I looked up and the entire group was walking my way. The consideration and love in that moment absolutely melted me!!! Jesse V. grabbed the wheelchair handles and AWAY WE WENT. There was a small stand of bleachers close by and La Onda completely filled it for the photographs.
In talking with Kevin before the show I told him I had a song request. He smiled politely, knowing the set list was already in place. I said "Carol of the Bells". He looked so surprised, then grinned and started talking about how special that song is - even when they were recording it, they knew. I told him it needed nominated for a Grammy and he agreed. Now...just how do we go about doing that? I don't know.
My only disappointment is that I didn't get to meet Glenn. Kevin said he was wandering around, but I kept missing him. Oh well...maybe next time.
Right now, I'm hungry!
Breakfast:
Denver omelets
flour tortillas
fresh strawberries
hash browns
