I finally found out what this thread is for. If you want to know how to do something on this new forum, ask here.
For instance, if you want to know how to make a 'clickable' signature, that takes people directly to your website, paste the following code (with your url) in your signature block.
<url=http://www.yourwebsitehere.com><img>http://yourbannerpicturehere.jpg</img></url>
In the code, change the < > to [ ] to get it to work on this site.
Someone asked a question in another thread about setting the clock. The site defaults to Greenwich Time, in England. Subtract 5 hours if you live on the East Coast, 6 if you're in Central time, 7 if you're in Mountain time and 8 if you're on the West Coast. (If you're in Hawaii, Austria or Australia, I have no idea - sorry.)
Also, don't forget to check the daylight savings time box. On the old forum, we didn't have that option, so twice a year, I had to reconfigure my profile options.

I can't find instructions for how to post pictures on the forum. Is there a size for the picture that works best?
Thanks,
Sue :o

When you 'reply to thread,' look at the line of icons across the top. You'll see a small icon of a mountain and sun. That's the image (or photo) icon. Simply type in the URL of your hosted picture's (at photobucket, etc.), then highlight the address and click on the icon. It will surround the address with [ img] tags.
Picture sizes can go from small to so big they blow up the board. I'd recommend anything from 150 pixels to 400 pixels...not too small, not too big.
Of course, others may have better advice than me. :D

This is great, Belle. Now I know where to go when I can't figure something out. Thank you!

Hey ladies,
So I get the emails that say "Belle (or whoever) had just replied to your post" but then I have to come here and swim through all the threads because I can't remember which category things are in, etc.
Is there an easier way?? I miss the old forum where you click and it took you RIGHT TO your last post and what was new from there on. .
I checked my settings but can't figure out if that's an option??
can someone help me?

Tasina, I've asked the tech people at Music Today about this. I'll let you know what their response is.
I have a question. If you're logged on and go to otherwebsites or whatever, and come back here, and go on the forum, are you looking at an updated verision of the posts, or the time you actually logged in? Cuz sometimes, I'll be logged on for hours and not realize, I just wonder, should I re log on, or does it automatically update? does that make sense?

Hi, Janine. If you hit the 'back' arror to get back to the forum, you'll need to hit the refresh button. If you go forward from your bookmarks to get here, you'll find a refreshed screen. (Does that make sense?)

I tried to fix it, but it won't let me change the title here. I'll see if there is some other way.

Cherie - the + sign means that person is one of your 'official' friends on this site.
