Bela Needs Our Prayers Right Now!!!

Everyone,
One of our most endeared familia member needs our prayers, in a big way. Bela is in the hospital right now and the situation is very dire. What began as a bad break to the leg after her taking a fall, has led to severe complications and Bela is fighting for her life right now in a Boston hospital.

She can't speak or eat and breathing is becoming more difficult from what I understand. Visitors must be masked due to her weakened condition and immune system right now. Mike, her husband has been keeping me updated. I spoke to Bela just a few days ago and she was her lively self and full of spirit and so the news from Mike this morning was mind blowing, to say the least. Of course, at that time, Bela did not mention the seriousness of her condition to me and spent the bulk of our time on the phone making suggestions on how we can all come together as a more cohesive unit to help promote the boys' new record. Unbelievable!!! Mike was not exaggerating when he told me she was street teaming on the operating table during the first surgery - that's Bela for you!!!

Mike will continue to update me, I'm sure but the prognosis right now due to blood clots in her lungs and infection which was discovered I suppose after a second surgery this week is not so bright and she has an ICU respiratory team and a team of infectious disease specialists studying her case. I am just asking everyone to pray as each of you knows how and in whatever way that may be so that together we can get enough positive energy out there to reach Bela in Boston and to look over her and protect her. I'm sure Mike can use some of that good energy and prayer right now too.

Today my heart is very heavy after hearing the news about Bela....How sad, she is such a very loving person with a heart of gold with a kind spirit. She's a very special friend of mine. I was on a road trip last year in July on the East Coast with the La Onda by the Sea. Bela, Amy, Nan Nancy and I. I had such a wonderful time on our road trip. We attend a performance in New Hampshire with LLB and deSol at Hampton Beach, Cape Cod and in Rhode Island at the First Candle event for the unveiling of the 57 Customized Chevy with LLB. She was the photographer at that event, later that same evening we went to the Foxwood Casino to see the Boys perform. She thinks the world of Henry, JoJo and Ringo. As well as Albie and the deSol Band. They are all her boys! No matter where she is she's telling everyone about LLB and their music or deSol and their music like a very proud mama raving about her children. What a dedicated Street teamer Bela is!! I hope or I know the "Boy's" are praying for Bela. She loves them so much. I have so much respect for Bela and her husband Mike. My prayers are with Bela. I just spoke with Bela's husband Mike on Bela's condition.
Mike told me, "She not getting any better."

For those of you who don't know Bela - this is a picture of her (left) on her 1st Texas roadtrip and LLB Show at The Backyard in Austin. Janet from Cali (right) and Ruth (Fiestas) were also there and Claudia (Germany). She was beaming and the smile never left her face. She always has her camera in hand eager to capture the moment. She (and her husband) Mike have traveled extensively to support Los Lonely Boys. She is a friend and sister to many of us. Please join our vigil - miracles do happen.

I just heard from Mike that "Bela received a tracheotomy on Thursday. Her lungs seem to be slowly healing. She's fighting a slew of peripheral ailments, but is hanging in there."

I can testify to the fact that "Miracles do happen every day". With God's Grace and all your prayers, I managed to pull out of almost certain death. Around Easter the doctors told Mike that I had a 15% chance of survival. They had given up on me and were focusing on how to make my transition peaceful. Next thing you know, I start to improve.

"Thank you" to everyone who prayed for me. I wanted to get on here sooner but had problems with my ID. I am very happy to be back with all of you. I have a great deal of healing ahead of me. I still can't walk. However, I know it will get better. I have already made plans to travel to two concerts: Ravinias on 8/8 and Indiannapolis on 8/9.

I look forward to meeting some new and old fans at those concerts.

I wish I could make it to the Indy show ... but it's not possible. Heather will be there so she can give you some Texas Love from your Tejas familia.
