It's Hill County and it's beautiful. We just heard about this show yesterday and we were hoping the date was wrong but since it's now officially on the tour schedule - we should be making plans. Memorial Day weekend isn't the best time of the year to be in Canyon Lake but we'll be there regardless. :( :)

Canyon Lake is avout 45 miles south of Austin and 30 miles North of San Antonio. It is where we have ODR every year, but on the wrong weekend.
I am sure our Texas friends will give us some guidance on what is going on.

this link OUGHT to get everyone very excited....check out the lodging ($$$), but maybe we can share -- i think it's a 3nite minimum, 5/25 being holiday weekend. it's not actually Canyon Lake, but New Braunfels (canyon lake is the exit); this will be so awesome, tubing tubing, LLB, tubing, yada-yada-yada... gotta book early -- right now their calendar is wide open for that weekend. Hideout on the Horseshoe is the spot..

You can start with this map link on Google:

Center the map on the "A" pin, and drill down four levels. You'll see that the Guadalupe forms a horseshoe loop north of Texas 306.

Switch to satellite, and drill one more level. To the right of the horseshoe is a light area - caliche reflection in the photo. Unless I'm way off, just to the left of the "d" in Estrellita Ranch Rd, you see the cabins. You can, luckily, drill one more level and see the five cabins in a loop.

So now you know where to look, and you can place the campground for location and proximity to San Antonio and Austin. Velvetsky and Bela have done a great job of description.

It's a B&B but reasonably priced. A friend of mine owns it and another friend helped her with the construction. She's a great person and has been very good at accommodating folks. It's really close to Canyon Lake. Good luck!!

Although it is still a bit early, I'm hoping that a decision will be made soon as to whether ODR4 will be held the 3rd weekend of May or on Memorial Day weekend. Even though the boys are playing on Memorial Day weekend, my vote for ODR4 is still for the 3rd weekend in May--Memorial Day weekend is just too crazy to have ODR4 . Those who want to attend the concert on Memorial Day weekend are welcome, but I don't think it shoud be tied to ODR4. Just my 2 cents....And, although it is a bit early, I'm hoping a final decision will made soon so that those of us coming from out of town can make our plane and motel reservations soon.... No pressure.... :D

Cool to see so much interest in coming to Texas! Once we recover from the Holidays and getting situated in 2008 - the planning will begin for La Onda's (LLB Street Teams') annual campout. Then we figure out a way to get the word out. Since REVERBnation is now considered our new home it may be there..... but again, I'm thinking out loud and no one has really begun to plan. :cool:
